    Default True one punch guys

How many are there out there really? This is kind of inspired by the Julian Jackson thread.

But, hell, a guy like Cotto is a strong puncher and a thudding puncher but is he really a one shot guy? I don't think so. You could probably say the same about Pavlik although he's probably more likely to end it with one punch than Cotto is although he usually does it after landing 6 or 7 rounds of right hands.

I think Wlad can be (I actually don't think Vitali is, he's a strong volume puncher IMO) but outside of heavies how many really explosive devastating punchers are there?

Old as hell Randall Bailey is one. Juan Manuel Lopez has shown some signs but some guys lately have been taking them, granted Penalosa and Mtagwa have hellacious chins. Valero. Rafa Marquez was a pretty damn good puncher at 118, just cause Vazquez can take your shots doesn't mean everybody else can. Arthur Abraham.

Edit-I just mean a guy that can end a fight early or at any time against at least reasonable opposition, not so much strong guys that break people down over the course of the fight.

On second thought I'd probably include Pavlik, he does kind of break people down but he's got enough power in his right hand to do damage at any point if he really lands it flush. There aren't a ton of guys that hit harder.

Juan Urango comes to mind. Shannon Briggs wins fights in one punch, that's the only way he wins.

Dunno if all these guys are one punch KO artists but all have some mad knockouts. Tua, Valero, Darchinyan, Bute, Pac, Haye.

Yeah, I think Miranda is there. And I think the
thread is right. There really aren't as many true one punch guys out there as perceived. I really can't think of one not mentioned right now off the top of my head.

Fighting right now? Dang, that's a difficult one....

Arthur Abraham? He does like to punish fighters first but he can 1 punch KO someone.

Wlad is a heavier puncher than Vitali, the KO of Ray Austin was a 1 punch KO, the follow up hooks were just thrown because he got caught on the ropes...I was amazed he got back up though.

Alejandro Berrio is another one that comes to mind, he's got some obscene power.

Yeah I don't mean necessarily just ending a fight with one punch, just guys that can either end it with one punch, at any time in the fight, or guys who can hurt somebody with one punch at any time, by somebody, I mean reasonable opponents. And can do it fairly consistently.

Because this isn't about necessarily good or great fighters, Antonio Pitalua.

Tavoris Cloud? I mean just because he didn't stop Clinton Woods doesn't me he lacks in the power department...I see him getting outboxed soon unless he gets a better trainer but his power is top notch.
