Barrera has been getting tagged by nobodies and has looked like shit, Morales as well, whoever wants to kid themselves into believing either has a real chance in winning another world title, and at 140 nonetheless is just gonna be left with a rude awakening when one of the two if not both end up seriously hurt, which is exactly what i don't want, but if they continue this path it's what's going to happen, Barrera and Morales are no different than Holyfield at this point

Cotto facing a feather fisted fighter convinced you he's not shot though. Shit at least Barrera made the full 12 against Pac, and he's a smaller guy. So do you feel the same way about Cotto? He even had to backpedal most of the fight against Clottey.

Foreman, Clottey, and even Pacquiao are at higher caliber than anyone Barrera's fight since his comeback (and yes that includes Khan), the Pacquiao Cotto faced would have stopped Barrera AGAIN (or did you forget that Manny knocked him the fuck out as well, he lasted 12 rounds on his second try), Barrera is slow, his movement is predictable, and he's going to get owned once he goes back against a world level fighter, just like Morales is going to against Maidana, it's not like i'm attacking either guy, hell Morales is my favorite fighter but both are shot, and their time has passed, they're looking ordinary against mediocre opposition, at least Cotto is still fighting championship level opponents (aside from Mayorga) and had REAL problems like the shoulder injury, the lack of a real trainer, and the death of his father, what's Barrera's and Morales' excuse aside from well they're shot

Its funny how its all the trainers fault when they lose but there was nothing wrong with the trainer when he was undefeated.....lol If he was injured before the Pac fight dont you think he should of postponed? Yeah Barrera looked sluggish and slow, he took 20 seconds to drop the guy, should have been 10.... I cant believe he let him get to the second round, what a shot fighter. i said it in the other thread, MAB and Morales are both future HOFers no doubt, both are greats, and i agree fully, but it makes me sick that people keep approving of both guys fighting as if they are still elite fighters when it's going to lead to either guy getting seriously hurt, and that's something i don't want to end up seeing

how can you say that about Barrera yet then blast Holyfield? he's still beating the same level of fighter that Barrera is beating, and then losing only in World Title fights (aside from the Valuev fight), which IMO is going to be the same thing that happens to Barrera when he steps it up at 140, i see no way in hell he's going to beat Khan, Bradley, Maidana, Ortiz, Alexander, etc.
most people doubt Marquez' chances at 140 and he looks like he's in his prime compared to both Morales and Barrera, most of you guys are just blinded by what he used to be and hoping for one last miraculous win

Sorry guys but if you think beating a fighter like Arias means that Barrera will be able to turn back the clock and beat a top fighter at 140 then I think you're clutching at straws. The argument will never be answered until he steps up his opposition, but I see him much like Nate Campbell in this instance. Great fighter at a lower weight, but little chance when he steps up against younger, faster and much better opposition. People will use the Khan excuse all day, but much like Bradley-Campbell, my belief is that the cut saved him, and gave him an excuse for why he didn't perform. Does anyone here truly believe that if he wasn't cut against Khan he'd have won that fight?
