I know Ross won't be in here for awhile and probably won't see this post. But here's some tidbits from the weeks leading up to the fight last night:

A prime Cotto? Which one is that? The one that got wobbled and stunned at light welter or the one that got beat up and quit at welter?

Answer: Neither. The Cotto that beat the shit out of your man last night, who BTW was the one who quit.

You watch Mayorga train its 100 miles an hour. You watch Cotto train, its like a tortoise with a hangover

Moral of the story: Don't always go by appearances in training. Like Bruce Lee told "scarface" before he mopped the floor with him on "Enter the Dragon": "Boards don't hit back." And speaking of trains... it was Mayorga who got run over by the "Cotto train" last night. Go figure.

Difference being, if Mayorga gets KTFO'ed out on March 12, Hulk will be here talking about the fight with the rest of us. Whereas you will mysteriously disappear for awhile, only to come back later on and keep hating on Cotto.

Oh but I do worry. A couple of token posts after the fight, and we probably won't see your sorry ass in here for a couple of weeks, by which time you'll have forgotten all about last night, and be thinking of new reasons to hate on Cotto.

I hope Mayorga has trained his ass off and has a game plan, one a bit more intelligent than the one he explained to Al Bernstien "I'm going to throw a four punch combination and knock him out."

Exactly! Its absurd to suddenly think, anyone with a cut face from punch must have been facing someone with loaded wraps. Its just people trying to find an excuse for Cotto getting battered.

Vitali got cut earlier than Cotto did too. It was mainly down to Cottos shite defence and the fact that if hes not the stronger man hes fuucked!

Keep in mind both Jennings & Foreman were fights coming off of loses.

Mayorga would beat those 2

Neither of those 2 were capable of bullying Cotto and neither is a puncher. They were picked for Cotto so he doesnt crumble mentally again. Arum is trying to squeeze money out of him and I reckon if he didnt have Margarito and Pacquiao lined up for him that he would probably have retired by now, or still be enjoying the time off before making an unsuccessfull comeback.

Cottos heart isnt in this any more, at least not when he gets in a real fight again.

Again, you have this bug up your ass about Cotto's supposed lack of mental fortitude. You make these broad statements and anybody would think you know what the hell you're talking about, when actually you're as ignorant a HATER as they come. What about Cotto's mental fortitude now, asswipe?

Oscar, Tito and Shane had never taken the 2 beatings that Cottos has. When he starts having to take big shots again he will cave in.

Mayorga lost those fights because of lack of preparation, he was inactive for long periods before hand and still had to be litterally nailed down before he would stop fighting. Cotto doesnt have the fire power or mental fortitude to weather any storm and come back at this point and against someone so much stronger than him. My opinion is that Cotto will be like Tyson against Holyfield, or Williams. Hes there for the money and doesnt have the strong will to win any more for anyone that can take his shots and fire back.

Also, iv read a few times now that Steward wants Cotto jabbing and moving. I just feel that is playing in to Mayorgas hands even more. Cotto needs to be in his face up close, to take away the space Mayorga likes to swing. Not backing up and encouraging Mayorga to get in to a rythm.

Again... "Cotto will cave when pressure by the stronger man"... "Cotto doesn't have the mental fortitude".... "Cotto's only in it for the money".... "Cotto is ugly and I don't like him"... "Cotto reminds me of a bully who gave me a wedgie in elementary school"..... blah, blah, blah.

I could go on all day, but you get the point. (Or at least you would if you were man enough to own up to your misguided hatred). And don't even get me started on you wishing that Cotto's shoulder surgery was bothering him in the ring... 'cause that borders on emotional retardation.
