    Default When David met Wlad..

Has Wlad taken something from david haye after that fight?
Is david relunctant to take wlad again?
David haye could well be the next heavyweight champion of the world but where did he go wrong in that terrible outing last time.

Wlad just showed the world what a punk David Haye was. Years and years of talk and Mr. "I'm gonna decapitate him" was flopping on the canvas like a fish out of water. Haye did one of the most pathetic things a professional fighter can do.....he looked to the ref to help him win the fight or at least not get KO'd.

David Haye is a sad pathetic little bastard and he wants FAME not boxing.

David Haye will never have a career defining fight.

In saying that, what I mean is he has yet to have a fight that makes us want to see him fight again.

As of now, he will be remembered for that performance against Wlad where he kept throwing himself at the floor like a toddler having a tantrum.

His best performances are Macaranelli (who couldnt do that?) Mormeck (had been stopped by O Neil Bell) and Chisora (not a fantastic opponent but a decent result).

Like I said though, right now he is known as the "toe man"

He might never beat Wladimir, but as many of the posters on Saddo have said for a while, David Haye could clear out the division, other than Wladimir. It would help his legacy. The foes he could face and possibly beat: Joe Hanks, Kurat Pulev, Deontay Wilder, Denis Boystov, Bryant Jennings, Cris Arreola, Bermaine Stiverne, Malik Scott, and Jonathan Banks. Wins over a few of them would serve his legacy well.

I don't think Wlad took anything from Haye. He just defeated him, he didn't dish out a beating in any way, it was just a clear Wlad decision and other than a little hurt pride, I don't think it has effected Haye on a massive scale.

Lyle is very bias on this and his hatred towards Haye kind of leads him to say things harsher than they actually need to be. He called the Wlad-Haye fight perfectly for years though so I have alot of respect for that. Either way you look at it Haye turned up for the payday rather than the glory. It pissed alot of us Brits off though because it is very clear that Haye's skillset is capable of much more than this once a year "talk a fight" parade we are given. My belief is still that Haye could clean out the division, but I don't believe he really wants to do it.

If haye gets to fight Wlad again he needs to make it a 3 round fight and bring it for every round.
Wlad hates fighters and haye can punch but needs to let them go.
He disgraced himself last time and a rematch cant get any worse!

Yeah, sort of go for broke? Haye has nothing to lose. So make it a brawl.

If Haye catches Wlad with the type of shot that rocked Valuev then he will put him out cold.
    You say tomato,
    ‘n I say …… it correctly.

Adam booth needs to install this gameplan into haye next time as this is his only chance.

Haye needs to forget about Vitali. Its almost a meaningless fight. Instead put in the effort to get another crack at Wlad. Watch some tape and devise a game plan. Get rid of Booth if need be instead of just showing up. FFS Sam Peter was able to get under that jab and he was slower then the second coming of Christ.

I agree somewhat with this in that I can't really see what Booth does to help his fighters technique wise. I think both Haye and Groves are both very gifted, particularly offensively but their technique is lacking that finesse and adaptability that only a good trainer can implant. I am not sure that Haye could ever beat Wlad because I am not blind to Wladamir's undoubted ability to use his physical advantage and skillset to nullify the opposition. It is frustrating that he doesn't push himself out of his comfort zone, he could destroy people early and it used to frustrate Manny that he did not sometimes.

Haye can't, and won't. Thompson already tried twice, which is once too many for my taste. The other "annointed" challenges to Wlad have been stumbling all over themselves, either losing fights on the way up, or remaining inactive due to some mysterious illness, or due to promotional issues.

Meanwhile, the clock is ticking and Wlad is getting older. Soon, the age excuse will manifest itself and will give Wlad a way out of any dangerous encounters. The division continues to be shit... and Wlad is content with pawing his way through the record books. 99% chance Wlad will retire without ever having been pushed to the brink, like most other great fighters have been.

In short......... this is a fucking nightmare.

early is the operative word because with a 80% KO ratio, he clearly is knocking people the F out.

I'm still amazed that Haye's next fight isn't against Thompson.
