Precisely. Canelo's a cruiserweight hiding out at junior middleweight, now having to fight at middleweight.
GGG's gonna rip him a new one, and I'm gonna record the fight and play it every now and then.

Feels odd giving either size advantage as they've both fed off a smaller guy to help build this. If we're talking size disadvantage, Golovkin beat a motivated cruiserweight Jacobs..though I had him losing by 1..and Alvarez beat a catchweight and not motivated Chavez. But how long has Canelo been edging his way and 'fighting' as the heavier guy, comfortable BS catchweights be damned while Golovkin has always been trimmed down and on the numbers. I'm really beginning to see Golovkin needing near twice the work rate that he has shown. I see no scenario where Canelo stands in and plays macho and he has the movement. I give Golovkin the passion and hurtful short jab and better hooks to the body. This fight could really boil down to body work by either.

This fight looks close on paper. In reality I see GGG beating Canelo up as the fight progresses. GGG is one of the best at cutting off the ring & Canelo should think wisely before willing going to the ropes. I see GGG feeling Alvarez out for a round or 2 before starting to turn up the pace. Canelo's pride will be his downfall and I wouldn't be surprised if his corner/ ref saves him.

Default On the night of his life, GGG could not Elevate himself to Elite

Can you imagine Sugar Ray Robinson or Marvin Hagler or Carlos Monzon for example lose the last three rounds of a decision like GGG lost last night on all three judges scorecards?

Triple G is not even close to being considered an all-time great. Not even close.

You are looking at these great middleweight with rose tinted glasses. Hagler struggled with Duran for some strange reason, Robinson lost 5 times.

It is silly to compare what GGG did for the last 3 rounds of his fight against the greats.

Marvin Hagler and Sugar Ray Robinson always found a way to pull the fight out. Triple G struggled over the last three rounds and Canelo completely out hustled him and rounds 10 11 and 12 those are the championship rounds and a 12-round fight. Golovkin at no point in the fight at absolutely no point in the fight did Golovkin dominate over Canelo

@Master a fighter who finally got the night of his life to shine and to rise to the level of an elite and an all-time great has to do a lot better than Triple G did last night where he is reduced to merely complaining about the scorecards.

Had Golovkin one even one of the final three rounds he would have won the fight. Imagine Marvin Hagler struggling to win one of the last three rounds of a fight where it is closed. Triple G made absolutely no adjustments in the fight and had a very low connect percentage of something like 30% where he had been averaging 46% over his last five fights in fact he never heard Canelo even once and he never had Canelo reeling a rocking at all in any way shape or form. Triple G could not make any adjustments and therefore it was a very flat performance

Byrd could easily have scored the fight 118-110 for Golovkin. But then she would have been banned. Or at least not picked for major events anymore. Vegas need reliable people in jobs like hers. Do you think the guy in charge of drug testing for the Nevada SAC wants to catch people? Imagine if somebody like Alvarez tested positive after a fight. Hey boss, guess who I caught, he'll be banned for a year at least! How long do you think he'd stay in his job?
