I hope Ricky fights Witter next, because the fight has an edge to it - bad blood, UK homecoming, having given USA all they asked for in the last few fights. Best to fight Witter now, as if Ricky goes back to USA they wont want to see the Witter thing

However the headline of this thread is a joke - how incredibly generous of Hennessey to offer the lions share to the guy (Hatton) who provides 99% of the revenue anyway!! (sarcasm by the way!)

Remember people that Hatton wouldnt even fight Witter when Pinto pulled out . They had 48 hours to find a new opponent and Witter volunteered like he did vs Judah yet Ricky prefered to fight Pederson .

I get the feeling that if it didnt happen , it certainly wont be negotiated now .

How can Hatton be ducking Witter? F*** me, hes just moved up to fight the pound for pound champion and just because he wont fight Junior hes ducking him... Its just plain S*** really. Hes not scared of anybody and would fight anybody. Hatton will most likely fight him when the time is right and at this momment I think Ricky does not feel Witter offers enough to fight him.

He has no name in America, unlike PM. He only has a WBC belt and for Hatton nows its not all about belts, its about making the money. I dont think a Junior Witter fight will get him the amount he is after, and I do admit Hatton does underestimate his abillities a bit. But still it doesnt mean S*** because Witter is a nobody except for in Britain.

This is why Ingle is trying to hype him up by saying he would knock mayweather out, when realistically it just wouldnt happen.

If witter can get a win against Pm and get another belt I believe 2 belts and more of a name would tempt Hatton enough.

Your comments, specifically that Witter is nobody except in England is indeed the reason the fight should happen. First of all, a Hatton fight against Witter (and in England) will make either fighter the most money against any opponent in the division. Also, the fight should be very competitive, since both are champions, Witter has improved tremendously over the years, and Hatton is a beast at 140. That is the fight at 140 I want to see before any other.
