    The commonly perceived best Light Welter in the world is a joke?

    A fighter that at worst is on the border of top ten pound for pound is a joke?

    A fighter who has not only beaten Kostya Tszyu, but stopped him is a joke?

    A fighter who has KO'd JLC, is a joke?

    I dunno about that.

    What I do know is this;

    You sir, are an abysmal poster. You've proved this before of course.
    I thought you had abandoned your sinking ship the last time we debated.
    Yet, you return with the same putrid brand of tripe that you have served up here since your arrival.

    You have proved yourself on numerous occasions to be lacking in knowledge; in relation to boxing, it's participants and it's practice, but since your ressurection from the depths of saddoboxing's septic tank, you have added to your outstanding repuatation.
    You are also a small minded, ignorant fool who instead of offering opinions, invests his time in broad stereotypical statements in a faint hope that you will find someone to agree with you.

    Let me simplify this for you.

    You're a crap poster.

    To the forum;
    As a Ricky fan I did not take offence to the post LawHoops submitted, I merely cannot stand idly by while he makes an utter tool of himself in every thread he participates in.
    I'm fully prepared to be a martyr to the neg reps I will now receive in order to illustrte what a muck-bad poster he is. If a mod wants to delete this, or who knows, me, then so be it. I'm sick of him.
    I love the Hatton Neg reps..... I laughed when I saw him summing up Hatton in one line, then -51 at the top of his post..
    No other fighters have passionate enough fans to stand up for their man when people shit talk them..

    I've counted down the seconds to getting negative reps after some of my Floyd posts, but they never came... I think I even got a few positive reps.

    Anyway, it's just another cool aspect to the forum... If you talk shit about Ricky on here, you better have a good freakin reason or your getting negative reps.... It's great!

    + Fenster pointed out that it wasn't the first time Hoops was just being a hater for the sake of it...

    You need at least 2000 posts here before you can go around calling belt holders "jokes" and not expect negative reps
    Just on that, I've never actually given negative reps, but I did Sad Click LawHoops before.

    If he could debate with me, make me see his point, make me recognise why he believed this I wouldn't lamabast him like this, but he won't he'll just come back, neg rep me and start cursing.

    Honest question:

    Do you see Corrales or Castillo being that effective (e.g. as good as they were in the fights you mentioned) at 140? Personally I dont really see it, and I would probably give Hatton a decent chance against both - even if the versions of them that you mentioned would be better than Hatton p4p. [Did that make any sense at all?]

    You can what ever you want no matter how long you have been posting here as long as you have some merit to what you are saying...Back it up with ANYTHNG...Even if it is half assed....LawHoops just says stuff for the sake of saying it....People feed into him....ignore his BS post and he will fade away

    Hatton only won one round for me and that was the first after that he was ineffective sure he was agressive but he was smothering his own work so its hard to give him points for it. Mayweather controlled the fight, was very accurate and kept the fight where he wanted it (center of the ring) and won most of the rounds based on ring generalship and effective punches.

    Sky and HBO always score the fights wrong and their scorecards never seem to match up with what is going on in the ring they seem to get caught up in the excitement and let it cloud their judgement.

    Fact is Hatton should stay the hell away from 147 Cotto,Mosley,Margarito,De La Hoya will eat him alive and the guy is delluded if he thinks he can beat Mayweather in a rematch he should just stay at 140 and let his ego feed itself.

    Yeah, I agree that in some fights - KT, Collazo, second half of Urango, he can be pretty ugly. At his best, when he's not in 'hook and hold' mode, I think he's great to watch. But I have a question - do you feel the same way about Hopkins. At his worst, I find him equally aesthetically unpleasing. I still consider him a great fighter.

    I think Floyd's counterpunching might have had something to do with Hatton lossing focus.

    Ricky fought I good fight that night I lost no respect for him, maybe even gained some. Like somebody else said, he proved he belonged in the ring with Floyd and he gave him a better fight than most of his last opponents. I was disappointed that he couldn't pull it off, but it was what it was.

    Oh, and against LWs and LWW's, Floyd has power. He just doesn't have power at 147.

    Most definetly don't find Hopkins exciting these days, but I do appreciate his ring craft more than Hatton's. Maybe it's just that he's a bit slicker and so wily. I certainly understand your point in that he's just as guilty of initiating clinches, hitting and holding and ruining the ebb and flow of a fight. But that's what he's trying to do, with Hatton it's more that he tries to hold in order to get off his own shots, rather than stop the other guy from getting off? Maybe I'm way off there. Certainly in his younger years Hopkins used clinching and dirty fighting much more strategically rather than having to do so in order to slow the pace. I'm also a bit of a sucker for old guys and underdogs I spose, if Hopkins wasn't 43 I'd probably have more bad things to say about the way he fights as well.

    Wasn't so much the punch that rocked floyd it was how he tried to avoid it, in my opinion.Guess it still would of counted as a knockdown though. I don't think hatton has the power at welterweight to KO floyd, but maybe if he landed one of those castillo body shots... guess we'll never know.

    Hatton lost to a legitamite all time great in PBF. I think future generations will appreciate PBF for the talent he is much more than this generation, and with that added respect Ricky will also be viewed in a much more positive light for giving PBF such a tough fight.
