I don't really understand this gloating to be honest, Jennings is a barely known domestic fighter who 99% if the population of Britain will never have heard of.

Instead of shouting what a great win it is for Cotto I'd rather just keep quiet about it so nobody draws attention to the fact that Cotto's confidence had fallen so far he needed to take such a backwards step as to fight a guy like Jennings in the first place.

It reminds me of a student who flunks all their exams and so has to go and retake the year, or the kid who fails his driving test and needs to do it again.

These kind of setbacks are embarrassing, an indication of failure, and such most don't glory too much when they finally pass out from college a year later than everybody else or finally get their wheels, several months after their mates are already driving.

For what its worth jennings is no more than an undercard fighter that often gets put on khan/froch undercards and as i said all along the fight was a complete mismatch and actually at times pretty embarrasing to watch.

Kel Brook is probably the best british welterweight prospect at the mo but even he would get absoloutely battered by cotto who would also probably be too much for hatton

Jennings is'nt a world beater but he bruised up Cotto at press conferance Cotto's face was bruised.But i would say Kell Brook is our best Welterweight and as for Cotto if he gets the same Shane that Margarito got Cotto is in big trouble and he won't fight Clottey.

I'm a cotto fan, but know better than to gloat over this win. Pretty much everyone on this board accepted the fight for what is was - a tune up and confidence builder.

Jennings showed heart and I commend any fighter for that.
