I wouldn't say he's not known outside the boxing world. I doubt every Phillipino watches boxing religiously but damned if they don't all know who Pacman is. Those millions of people around that part of the world see the success Pac has had, and being poor in many of those regions boxing will take hold even moreso; that in itself is great for future boxing. Lots of ittle Pacs will be in the making.

Honestly, these are two of the stupidest questions I've read. Are you serious or are these questions some kind of backlash against the Pac fanatics?

How would boxing be better off without Manny? He is one of the marquee names in the sport, entertaining as hell, and his name is involved in the some the most desirable matchups in the foreseeable future.

So yeah, boxing would be better without Manny. it would have been better without ODLH. it would have been better without any fighter who attracts attention and excitement to the sport.

People have to realize that Manny is a 135lb fighter that everyone is coming to him for the bouts he is not seeking them out....Why step into the lions den and allow bigger disadvantages?
cuz thats what all the greats in history have done
Who? Who are these greats? Armstrong?, Jones? please inform us...

Who else has gone from 106lbs to fight at 142lbs?

Who else has titles in 5 weight classes at the moment and as many lineial titles? Who has claimed as many ring titles?

even if they have done one of the above who else has done all of the above?

The man has done his job and well he has nothing to prove by fighting under everyone elses terms

im waiting for the response on mr daxx questions... or else as someone just mention put on the gloves and go knock pacs ass out..

Oscar moved up from superfeather to middleweight and won world titles in each divison. Pac hasnt, not to mention Oscar wasnt always fighting guys on their way out.

Any guy who has moved up in weight has moved into their opponents division and thats why they get props. How can anyone get props if they are beating up on a weight drained corpse. If Manny wants to do it at all he should do it properly.

Mate I just get the feeling that if Manny came to the ring walking on water you would make a case that the water Jesus walked on was deeper so it doesnt count....

You just will not give the man his due in any way so the debate is pointless

This is a serious question because of many boxing fans have called Manny Pacquiao a pussy and coward for wanting to fight Cotto at a catchweight, which would be his first. To be fair I never considered the Oscar fight a catchweight because you can't expect someone to jump 3 weight classes from 135 to fight you when you called him out and it was at the 147 ww limit. So there are endless discussions about the Pacman for or against him in every boxing forum.

So is Manny Pacquiao bad for boxing? Would boxing be better if Manny Pacquiao never picked up the sport?

Bless your heart.....your so ignorant! I mean really, every post you write sounds like its from an eight year old. Do you realize that if Pacquiao and Mayweather end up fighting, that it will likely sell the most PPV's in history? Do you realize how many fans Pacquiao puts in the stands? Like its bad that some like him and some dont? Thats what its all about man! He's the most entertaining boxer there is in the ring, there's always gonna be knockdowns when Paquiao's in the ring and thats exactly what boxing needs to become more popular. Do yourself a favor and go build a mud castle outside and stop embarrassing yourself on this forum!

if this thread was created in jest then i indeed apologise.

GAME. I'm not a primarily pacfan. But I don't think Sasakul, Ledwaba, Barrera, Marquez, Diaz, Hatton were weight drained when Pac took their belts away from them. I know you're a die-hard MAB fan. But your boy got owned by pac twice. Your vindictive shitt gotta stop. Give pac some credit and start living your life.

DLH has perhaps the best resume in boxing over the last 40-50 years just because a fighter does not have his resume does not detract from his skillset if that was the case

PBF, B-Hop, RJJ, Lennox Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, Cotto, Mosley, Wright, Hatton, Williams, etc have all accomplished nothing in their careers

No, he's not bad for boxing. But he is getting seriously annoying now that he's looking to cash out as quickly and easily as possible.

I just hope nobody agrees to his stupid demands.
