He came in with little to no head movement, rarely throwing punches. If that's not askin for it I don't know what is. Terrible gameplan for Byrd. He shoulda ran, moved, and tired da Klit out. But he thought he could out power a guy that was a whole lot bigger than him. Give the dummy credit though, he is tuff as hell, took a beating.
Lewis did the same thing! So did Ali for that matter. Are you going to give them sh.t for it too?
Lewis didn't do it as blatantly and I didn't see enough of Ali to comment but if you think someone of high stature doing it makes it right, then you're just too much of a Klitchko fan to ever see the light. They made rules in boxing for a reason. Like I said, otherwise it would be WWE or UFC or something else but not boxing. I respect you backing your countryman and all but rules are rules and if the rules are upheld, he never beats Peter that night. Watch that fight again. With an open mind and open eyes.

First off he isn't my "Countryman", if I am from the U.S.A.!And I know the rules about holding and there is a huge difference between what Ruiz does and what Wladimir does and the referee also knows the difference, that is why he doesn't get points taken away.I could name hundreds of fighters that use the same tactic but never get so much sh.t for it.

In that case, you sit with him and watch the Peter fight too. Everyone was calling Henry Akinwande a chump for holding Lennox Lewis and getting Dqed but you call Klitchko a champ and a great fighter for doing the same if not worse.

That being said, I don't hate him. I actually think that he has the chance to do big things but, I like to see fairness in the ring. There are true champions out there that leave no questions liek Pac Man. Not afraid to take a whippin and learn from it and come back stronger and better. I used to be a Wlad fan but I just don't see how a guy can get so much credit while fighting like a coward. That being said, I respect your opinion and you're a true fan backing him to the end like that (KlitchkoFan) I wish him well and I hope he stars fighting cleanly again. I used to be a big fan of his believe it or not.

So you think Wladimir should stand right in front of his opponents and take their shots to prove he is tough? He has learned from Manny Stewart how to fight without having to take big shots to the head, I would call that intelligent boxing, if you want guys to stand in front of each other throwing haymakers then the toughman competition would make you more happy I suppose.Anyone who takes a fight with Sam Peter is not a coward.Besides Wladimir already found out what it is like to stand right in front of a big puncher in Sanders and found out that wasn't the thing to do.

I'm not saying he should stand in front of anyone with his hands down. I'm saying that's not defence. Floyd uses defence, Winky uses defence, and thats just to name a few. I can't recall seeing either blatantly reaching out to grab an opponent or push off with both hands everytime the other guy gets close. I'm not convinced until he beats Peter without holding and pushing off. The reason I keep bringing up Peter is because that's the fight that made me stop being a fan of Wlad, and that is still the toughest fight out there for him.

Bottom line is, Wlads got ring tools that I haven't seen in a long time, namely a fast hard jab, a bad ass straight right and a strong left hook.

I bet he could beat most of the heavies out there with just his left hand.

Good power, good speed, knockin' folks out---that's what its all about. Some people won't like him for whatever reason.......oh well, to each his/her own.

Wlad has had his problems but he's an offensively dominant KO machine...what is there not to like? Holding? Oh he holds but so did Lennox then again some people hated on him too...oh well, the REAL fans know the truth!!!

Not the real fans. Just the ones who don't know much about boxing and believe everything they hear in the commentary. HBO is desperate for a new heavyweight star so I'm sure that the holding will go conveniently unnoticed. Wlad is a cash cow and because of his good boxing skills and great power, they want to make look like an invincible PPV star. Any TRUE boxing fan would rather see a clean fight and may the BEST man win. Not the most AFFECTIONATE. Oh, and can you guys please stop comparing him to Lewis and Ali please. He's a long way from that stature yet.

Let me just say this...anyone who watches Wlad Klitschko fight & then watches one of the other heavyweight champs fight & thinks that the other choice is more entertaining than the Klit...I question your boxing resolve.

Wlad's the best out there fight now...& he will most likely back the claims that he just recently made up.

He is the best of all the champions out there at heavy. That's why he should beat them all fair and square and leave no question. I still think there's no way he beats Peter without excessive holding though. That's not to say that Peter is a better fighter but, he will prove to be Klitchkonite. I think they will avoid him for the rest of his career because he knows the next fight will be watched more closely.

The holding he does is not "excessive" ....if it was points would be deducted AND if you take points from him before taking points from Ruiz you're a hypocrit!

Sam Peter has hard WIDE SLOW punches and won't beat Wlad today, tomorrow, or 5 years from now!!!...accept it you yankee bastard
