When are you coming back bro?

Anyways, it'll be fun bumping this kind of thread after the fight, just like DLH and Hatton post fights.

I've never ever picked against Cotto. But this time I'll pick his opponent to win.

Both are great fighters. We'll see them alone in the ring and both of them will put on a great competitive fight. One guy is stronger, the other one is faster. Both has skills no doubt. But the sport is still a team game. And Pac's corner is way better than Cotto's.

    Pac by 10th.

I think Pac has got to be careful of that...Cotto is going to be the hardest puncher Pac has faced... And Pac has become a great boxer using a lot of skill and defence, but he's still got that natural instinct to get drawn into exchanges... I think mainly because he loves it.. He gets wrapped up in the excitement as much as the people sitting in the seats watching..

But in this fight he's gotta be careful of that.. One big Cotto hook or uppercut at the right moment and Pac will be on his ass.. And Cotto can really connect well, so Pac HAS to keep a lid on that stuff..... Although I have no doubt the fight is going to have fireworks no matter how either fighter is setting out to win...

I don't think this fight is going to have a single boring second.. Both fighters bring constant tension, drama, and action..

I'm sure cotto is a stronger man than pac, but he doesnt have the KO power that pac has. Most of cottos KO's have been from damage over the course of the fight. When he is successful he goes to the body early and often and wears his opponent out. Pac actually has more KO power and speed than Cotto. Cotto is a fantastic fighter though. Cotto and pac are my two favorite fighters so I really hate to see them fight, but its gonna be a great one. I think pac will end up stopping him.

I like Pac... I really do. But I just think Cotto's too strong for him. Cotto's fought the bigger guys (Margarito, Mosley, Clottey). Miguel is head and shoulders above the level of fighter that Hatton has EVER been, so you can't use Manny's destruction of Ricky as a measuring stick. And although DLH was a huge jump for Manny (and a shrewd marketing ploy by Oscar), no one knew just how shot and washed up Oscar was until it showed clearly on the night of the fight.

Having said that, I think this is a fight between two classy, humble, world-class, elite warriors. So if anything is for sure, it's that it's gonna be a tremendous, action-packed fight that will not disappoint. It won't be a posturing (PBF), hot-dogging (PBF), clinching (Hatton), mauling (Hatton), boring spectacle... and fans will almost certainly get their money's worth.

I hope no one misses the fight, because fights of this caliber will probably be few and far between in the near future. Boxing will the sure winner on November 14th.

I like Pac i just think he's going to lose this one Cotto is going to be a lot harder than both Hatton and the weight drained De La Hoya.
Burst the bubble? The bubble that Pacquiao can't take a shot from a true WW? Pacquiao can't hurt a WW? Pacquiao can't beat a fighter in his prime? Pacquiao's speed can be countered/neutralized?

Are you a Brit by any chance?

Cotto is mentally still broken from the Margarito fight and any confidence he may have gained in thinking he was only dented was because of the gloves was quickly taken out of him in the Clottey fight as he found himself getting busted up in the same way but with no glove excuse. Cotto did just enough in the last part of that fight and it was more Clottey taking his foot off the gas then Cotto getting him off of him. Pacquiao won't take his foot off the gas and Cotto's self doubt will creep back in his mind if Pacquiao isn't gone in 4 rounds. Cotto is done, once Pacquiao starts hurting him he will fall apart again and Pacquiao won't let up on the gas he will finish him. Cotto is a good fighter but he isn't what he needs to be to beat someone like Pacquiao anymore.

it turns out that when you try to burst pac's bubble it explodes like a nuclear bomb right to their faces doe'snt it.

anyway i salute cotto for being a sport, though in the latter rounds it's just so sickening seeing him running away but that's the way it goes when you're trying to burst pac's bubble!

I too thought that Cotto would be too big for Pac -I'm glad I didn't boldly claim this in a title thread though

I always thought that Mayweather would aslily take care of him due purely to the size difference, and the fact that he'd be quick enough to get out of the way; now I'm not too sure. I think he could beat him too! Of course Mayweather will want all the advantages and will only fight him at the Welter limit, although he could say he'll meet him halfway and then not bother like he did against Marquez.
