The jab and the cross are fixed, his hook is better, but it still needs work, when he's tired or mad he lapses back to old Andrew, and cocks it.And he still doesnt trust his upercuts or his clinches.
Its a process, yeah if I had him here all the time it would go faster, but I cant help that.I can only deal with the situation in front of me. He has improved dramatically, which means he's doing as he's told. I understand his discomfort on the inside,he's used to being the smaller and more inexperienced guy.
That just isnt true is it? I didnt see one straight punch at all, admitedly I didnt watch vid two but Im going to stick my neck out and say his technique wont have improved any. As Ive said before I can see that he's trying to be a bit more measured and put some thought into what he's trying to do but lets be honest here, he doesnt have a jab, he doesnt have a cross, he has a series of swipes coming from his hip and he switches stance so frequently he's making Naz jelous.

I could understand the straight punches going out the window after a few mins and he starts to tire, but they were never there?
Maybe you should have watched it,he's throwing a nice tight cross now,and he's turning over and snapping off his jab now
Really? Ive now watched vid 2, Im glad I did, the exchange on the ropes at around the 2:50 mark was Hagler Leonardesque. Can you pinpoint when he throws a nice cross so I can watch it back?
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

He throws it nice and tight twice,I was actually surprised,I thought he'd pick up the hook first,he comes over nice and tight on the cross, his hook still needs work,he's getting it,but it aint there yet.
I was sure it was going to be the cross he would need work on,thats usually the problem punch,I didnt expect he'd still need more drilling on keeping the hook tight.Andrew himself, will admit if he gets tired or mad,he forgets himself,I think thats what happened

OK Im going to give up on this one and take your word for it. He threw 2 decent straight punches. I dont see any improvement in technique Im affraid, just my two cents worth.

TM how long have you been training fighters?

How long have you been watching fighters?
    I mean really watching them?
Because if you cant see the improvement you havent been paying any attention
Because I was shocked by it. Everybody warned me,"Andrew wont train","Andrew wont take direction"
And I watched that and saw that he was doing everything they said he wouldnt do.
And as far as it goes, not you'd care,I had my first boxing lesson 31 years ago,and Ive been training people how to fight for 16 years now.
Damned shame I wasnt a greedy asshole about it.
I mean then I'd be rich and youre internet persona might have more respect for me.
Its a bastard having ethics,I should have gone in to pimping, its more honest at least

And before somebody makes the smart assed coment of"You never admit your wrong"
Yep I have been, going in two different directions. We had a girl in here,Leslie honestly made her cry,and she was pulling everything against the girl. And I just went,"No shot,no hope",the girl went on to be a Rough N Rowdy champion. I had a heavyweight that everybody still thinks could make noise, and lord knows I did when I got him, nobody knew he suffers from panic attacks, call that need to know information.

Yet you wont step in and stop your wife getting beaten up on a regular basis?

    Interesting.

Ive been honest and said that I can KT trying to be more measured and thinking about what he's doing but his punches are still very wild with little or no technique. If this girl was getting beaten up by Leslie then Im glad you sent her packing.

She gets caught on flashes, its not exactly getting beaten up,if we could fights at Super Middle we wouldnt even be taking fights at middle. But the division is damned nigh empty
And for the record,I am NEVER hiring a Trinidad corner again, they put her mouthpiece in upside down going in to the second round, competency isnt exactly a strong suit for them
    And heres a thought
If you knew you only had a few years to have a career in any sport, would you want to compete against the best,or compete against the dregs to pad your record?
Because everyone Leslie has fought was top 10 at the least, she's never fought a tomato can to pad her record. And she wont.

Not to dog on Andrew, as I have nothing against him, but this also is not true?

this is his boxrec listing. As you can see, most of the people he has fought were 0-0-0 or similar, with a few having more experience, a few with limited, but largely he has more experience then most he faces.

So seeing as being pro is your measurin stick of a fighter, he surely has more 'pro' experience then most everyone he fought.

ya Andrew, Wasn't saying anything more then you have a fair bit of pro experience. 17 fights is a lot. Many fighters never get that many.

Yes,and what we were saying is that for the first time in his career,he got to fight somebody with similar experience and he won. I dont care what the judges said, though one of them probably had to have the results of the first two rounds blackberried to him because he sure as hell wasnt in his chair for them.
Andrew has improved alot, more then I thought he would that quickly, you enjoyed ripping on him when he didnt have any training fighting guys with more experience, give him credit when he improves

That would indeed be the former Irish amateur champ,I suppose at this point Im not telling tales out of class,he hurt his foot in that fight, and is at least for now retired

I have given Andrew credit for improving. Maybe you should go dig up the post of his video of the fight when it was first went up. No one needs convincing that Andrew was ill-prepared and overmatched in near every fight of his 5 years and 17 fights as a professional ( he shouldn't need excuses for his choices to fight this way). He still had more pro fighting experience then most of his competition. Period.

Maybe you should learn to read. Once again this isn't about Andrew at all. I like Andrew. You, on the other hand are delusional, loaded with excuses about everything, and basically batshit crazy. So not about Andrew. About you. Got it?

So go ahead and post whatever you want to follow, I will no longer be responding to you (well maybe just with that vid), and good luck with the whole lunatic thing.

Not making any excuses for his earlier fights, its how they run things down there. And he had a habit(and will admit to) biting off more then he could chew. I have to stop him constantly,or he'll fight anyone anywhere. So I have to constantly tell him,"Dude, that guy will kill you"
Oh yeah, have fun with the whole not understanding the buisness thing
You'll make a great pro,for somebody whose greedy and grasping,I mean if you have any talent, otherwise you'll just be an undercard with a broken nose.If you have any talent, you'll just be broken and broke, but at least youd have made your manager money.
