Hey does anyone remember when Wilder got arrested for beating up a prostitute in a Las Vegas hotel room?

I had him behind in the fight. If him and Tyson Fury are the best in the division, no wonder Haye fancies his chances of a comeback.
I happen to think Povetkin will beat Wilder fairly handily , although he may need to stop him to save any possibility of a dodgy decision.

Wilder would be better off going back to being the atomic windmill, the more he tries to box the more it's just a matter of time before he's left kipping. There's nothing natural/no fighting brain about him. He's just a big, powerful, terrific athlete with a serious vicious streak.

Once he gets chinned he's the type of fighter that will suffer a bunch of chinnages.

I remember not too long ago Georg Foreman said something very profound about Lennox Lewis, he fights tall. Lewis did not lunge or telegraph his blows. What a jab, what concentration that is until he had a lapse and got caught but Lewis was someone who retained what he was taught. He was intelligent enough to listen to his mentors. If I was a fighter that got a win from Lewis, I would run and not walk away from the negotiations of a rematch. In fighting tall and being patient he solved all his opponent's moves. He did not swing from the rafters like this I guess champion. In a karate dojo during the warm up punch drills a wide horse stance is used to help your leg strength and build power before kumite or free fight. He looked like a skier losing control down a hill. There was no shades of Lennox in that ring and this guy desperately needs to go back to school or the drawing board whichever you prefer.

Theres a rumour doing the rounds that Tyson Fury and Carl Froch bumped in to each other and got in to an argument and security had to step in while Froch ran off

He won a lot of fans after the fight with Klit and people like how he plays the bad guy but that was just silly.
Wilder handled it really well, he needs to improve massively on his boxing but he has always spoke well outside of the ring.

Fury v Wilder - its a massively difficult one to call, Fury is obviously the better boxer, Wilder needs a hell of a lot of work if it goes to points Fury wins but Wilder only needs to connect with 1 of them rights and Fury is out for the count, can Fury avoid it for 12 rounds?
That is the 50million dollar question.
Fury wouldnt get hit clean as much as Szpilka did but thats the thing. Szpilka was knocked out by Jennings and took lots of Wilders right hands. Is he that big a puncher? What world class heavies has he proved it against?

Stiverne? He has been stopped before but went the distance. Molina? Not world class and Arreola has finished him early. Duhaupas? Not world class and the ref jumped in when he wasnt really hurt!

You have to applaud Tyson. Hes showing wveryone how you need to promote a fight. Wilder getting pissy and taking offence, he should thank Tyson because hes going to make him rich!
Acting like an idiot only goes so far, when you start embarrassing the people who are watching you, it's too much. Fury vs Wilder will promote itself and Wilder is making good money right now!
I wouldn't bet the house on these two meeting while both are belt holders anyway, they both have some fighting to do first.
I found it hilarious that Wilder called Fury a fake fighter and said "this aint wwe" to his antics just prior to screaming "bomb squad" down the microphone.
Fury can out talk anyone. Tyson is the new Ali.
He has the mouth but not the skill. Deny it!

There's a rumour doing the rounds that Tyson Fury has cured cancer and put an end to World famine.

May just be a load of old bollocks though.

I think Wilder is quite good fun. Yes, he can't really box at all, but he is huge, fit and he can punch like a cartoon superhero. Ally that with some questions about his chin and it makes for terrific entertainment.

He is also a pretty class act outside the ring, for a fighter!

Enjoy the ride while it lasts!

It's quite interesting watching fights sober but I don't think I'm going to make a habit of it.
I agree. Szpilka wasn't looking awful. He had pretty decent footwork and made Wilder looked like a tank with his feet locked in a wide stances trying to spin to adjust at the waist and line up his turret 1,2 combo. This fight could have been won for szpilka by getting him to tighten up that looping left, turn it over and throw it straight across his body. He constantly set up wilder for it by getting his lead foot outside of wilder's and double/tripping jabbing over wilder's lead shoulder. Wilder's footwork and Szpilkas lead foot backstoppping his, never allowed wilder to pivot out. Throwing it straight would have also preempted the shot that put szpilka down.

Much as I hate to say it I think Fury beats him easily. He can just box him southpaw from distance and Wilder won't get near him. I don't think Fury has the power to knock him out but if that Polish guy can wobble him Fury can definitely wobble him a few times and clearly win on points.

Assuming he actually fights Povetkin next and Haymon doesn't find a way to dodge him I think Povetkin will probably get there first though.

Froch would be mad to try and take on Fury.

I think Tyson may have been mucking around and no one knows really how to take him. He was a bit drunk

Watch this video, the Americans are lapping him up! They love him. Even the booing, they would have loved having a pantomime villain. Everyone in the rng bar Wilder is smiling and enjoying Tyson and probably thinking how much mo ey hes going to make them all. http://youtu.be/kx9bwiizamI

Wilder tried calling Tyson a phoney. For some reason he thinks Szpilke, Molina Duhapuas and Stiverne are the class of Klitschko the bell end! A phoney is someone who manipulates a ranking by beating no one, winning a title against the only holder he could win a title from then fighting journeymen instead of his mandatory and looking poor while doing it!

Wilder looked so bad again. Have to think he gets beat by any of the top dogs. Would fancy Haye against him too. Theres 13/10 on Povetkin to beat him. Looks a steal if the fight ever happens.

Wilder is the equivalent to Piston Hurricane on the original "Punch Out". Not much more.
