yeah i thought it was amazing wen i seen it but it still remains to be seen how the gameplay is
Wow that looks more entertaining than the actual UFC.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

Yeah, it's too bad that they had to scrap the other treaser that was 5 minutes of endless ground hugging.

looks pretty good but hopefully the game play is good
mind over speed and power
Yeah it looks awesome. It'd be cool if you can customize characters like in fight night.

That looks cool and all but I wonder if it will be a true simulation or a game like it looks like it's going to be in the trailer where it's all about the knockout.
The thing with MMA is that it just doesn't translate accurately to video games as much as boxing does. I mean boxing is all with the hands and feet so you can make something that's pretty real off that.
MMA is so much different. I mean take that first sequence for example. Rampage shoots and Liddell goes into the sprawl. That's cool but is it going to be a matter of timing/button pressing to sprawl? Will you have the option of throwing knees when someone shoots in?
And come on, nobody gets a clean knockout from the sprawl like that, that is arcade-ish.
And then of course the ground. I'm having a really difficult time seeing how BJJ translates to a video game without it just being a more MMA like WWE game which I really have no interest in.
One of the cool things about Fight Night is you can win so many different ways and similar to real life, you can have a style and make it work. In WWE games that isn't the case and with THQ making it that looks to be the road it's traveling. I'll keep an eye out but wouldn't get my hopes up for this one.
It's hard to translate any sport 100% accurately into a video game. If madden was 100% realistic, nobody would want to play it because you'd have 3 seconds or less to throw the ball every single time. Fight night wasn't even that realistic because ali was WAY faster than they depicted him in the game and i don't care who you are, nobody in the world was gonna pull off a one punch ko against ali (why was his body and heart so low? he had the most resilient body and had more heart than almost any other fighter in the history of the heavyweight division). I suppose that IS more realistic than never having a one punch ko effect but some people abuse it and its annoying.Originally Posted by amat
I heard that the last mma game they made was total crap (i'm assuming it came out on psx or n64 from what i've heard). It's impossible to make a playable multi style combat game without it having an arcade feel. What about submissions, how are they gonna work? Is it once you lock it on you win or is it gonna be more like a def jam vendetta thing where different areas wear down over time. A button mashing counter system kinda makes the most sense.
I will only buy it if there is a hump-leg feature................
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
if it plays as good as it looks im a get that 4 sure
Looks great but I doubt the gameplay will be good
It's gotta atleast be better than E.T. for atari.Originally Posted by Sugar_Shaw
