Default mayorga highly overrated--DLH to dominate

i dont understand why peole think this is going to be a competitive fight......mayorga cant fight and his power is highly overrated.........he landed one homerun shot to forrest over 3 yrs ago (which forrest got up from before 10---may have been a premature stoppage) and hasnt really done shit since.........who has he kayoed since? his power is vastkly overrated......forrest got jobbed going the ditsnace with him in their rematch, and non descript guys like eric mitchell and michele picceriilo went the distance with him..............a feather fisted cory spinks handled him for 12 rds and beat him---exposing him as the true fraud he is...the only thing he proved againt tito was that hes a good punching bag---and tito's boxing skills are very limited as we all know

delahoy should box circles around him and stop him late

at the moment, i disagree a little with that....im going full on with a mayorga win...

delahoya is dishing it with the wrong devil for a comeback fight....

this is a very interesting fight....no clear favorite....

    but i gotta pick one!

DLH I THINK SHOULD BOX WELL BUT WITH A LITTLE RING RUST... SHOULD LOOK PRETTY SLICK... BUT MAYORGA IS SO UNPREDICABLE... ALL I CAN SAY IS GRAB THE POPCORN. WOULD LOVE TO SEE OSCAR SHUT HIS MOUTH BUT I DONT KNOW... IT WILL BE INTERESTING.

I think Mayorga will end Oscar's career I'll give Oscar all the credit in the world if he pulls this off after 2 years out of the ring but with his outside business interests, multi million pound bank balance and incredibly bright future outside of boxing I'm not sure he'll have the motivation to dig deep enough for this fight.

If Mayorga succeeds in turning this into a real brawl then Oscar's heart and determination will be tested to the limit. If he comes through it and knocks Mayorga out he will fully deserve all the plaudits he will no doubt receive and a mega fights with PBF could be in the offing.

But in my opinion it's at least as likely that a faded and tired Oscar quits or is stopped in the late rounds.

A fully trained Mayorga is a menacing threat.

And to the person who asked what did Mayorga do since his shock win over Forrest, well he beat Forrest again in a rematch, lost a close fight to Spinks which could have been different had he not had two points deducted and showed tremendous resiliance in getting a beating from Trinidad after moving up to 160.

Oscar will not be able to hurt Mayorga. To me it's whether Mayorga can hurt Osacr.

oscar can and will hurt ricardo----de la hoya IMO is the bigger stronger guy and will hurt him to the body then finish him late in the fight

In the words of Emmanuel Steward "this guy cant fight" . Mayorga is a big mouth fraud, and he will be undressed may 6th.

Dela Hoya took what Trinidad threw at him even in the last few rounds, and Trinidad hit harder than Mayorga IMO... that being said Mayorga caught Trinidad more than once, and he will hit Oscar Dela Hoya, but he won't win.

I love how folks bring up the Oscar vs Tito fight as if it is relevent. THAT WAS SEVEN, THATS 7 YEARS AGO PEOPLE. HELL EVEN THE VARGAS FIGHT WAS THREE YEARS AGO. DON'T EXPECT THE OSCAR THAT OUTBOXED THEN RAN FROM TITO TO SHOW UP OR THE ONE THAT STOPPED EL FEROZ.

I think Mayorga just enjoys being in the spot light and winding up other fighters.

His punches are the most wild swinging punches I have ever seen. It would be an insult to say he could beat a masterfull boxer like Delahoya.

    The fight is bullshit

you bring up the age, but Mayorga's not much younger than DLH, plus he's already taken more damage upstairs than DLH so he shouldn't be talking about Oscar being worn, also the Forrest fight was a long while back as well, so don't bring that up, cause that Mayorga ain't showing up this Saturday either, May 6th Ricardo Mayorga is going to leave the ring like a scolded dog with his tail between his legs, and Oscar De La Hoya is going to leave with the WBC title around his waist

Oscar has always, weather it was 7 years ago or now , been a better boxer the Tito and yes I think that is relevant because if Tito took some shots from Mayorga then Oscar will take less and give more. I believe he will stop Mayorga in the 7th round. One less round then Tito. Because he has been out as long as Tito was out but like I said he has always been better.
