no matter how much i eat i just cant get any weight anyone know how i can
we need more than that, height/age/weight/how much you train/what you do/how long have you done it for/what do you eat etc...![]()
Usually when people say no matter how much the eat they can't gain it means they don't realise how much you actually need to eat. If you really want to put on some mass you should be lifting weights 3-5 times a week. Calories should be somewhere around 3000 per day (very hard), and protein about 1 gram per lb of body weight.
Invest in a good protein shake from your local health store. I find that if your having trouble hitting those calories, try mixing some natural peanut butter and some oats into your shake. Make sure your constantly eating throughout the day, 6-8 meals. Lots of chicken, steak, whole wheat pastas. Buy some creatine monohydrate (cheapest kind) and start taking that every morning on an empty stomache.
Make sure you are getting your essential fats. I suggest buying some Fish Oil capsules or something similear. Take around 6 of these per day (2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, 2 in the evening). Also, are taking any multivitmain? This is essential and the most basic thing you can do. Take at least one multi per day.
Do all of the above and you WILL gain weight.
For all we know he could be 13 or something... :P
Wait till you get to about 18 like I did... now I can't fecking keep the weight off...![]()
yea i am 13 but any way im goin to try bhars way
13, whats your height and weight? You'll have a job... you've not even stopped growing up yet :P
Focus on your conditoining and boxing skills at this point in your life... muscles will come later but I don't know why any one would want to force them on...3000 Kcals is a lot for a 13 year old :P
Yes. I didn't realise you were so young
What adam says is true. Your body still has a long way to go. Start lifting in the gym but you can wait on the protien and creatine for a couple of years. Eat the proper foods and lift the weights. Your metabolism will slow down soon and then you can settle in to things.
EDIT: Get your parents to invest in a good multivitamin for you. While your body is growing it will really be able to use the extra vitamins. Even flinstone chews are better than nothing.![]()
yea ok but does weight lifting stunt ur growth
At your age dont go near them Your bone and tendons have another 4 years of development before you even think about it. and dont even think of running any distance hard to much impact, on the hips.
Pain lasts a only a minute, but the memory will last forever....

what do you weigh? you need to eat 20 calories per pound of weight just to maintain..200 lb man 4000 calories a day...you would need to eat over 4000 calories a day to gain weight....looking to build muscle? you need 1 gram of protien per lb to maintain....200lb man needs 200 grams of protien...to gain properly you need to up the protien to 1 1/2 or 2 grams per lb in weight...eat pasta after you workout....weight lifting doesnt stunt your growth...doing steroids before your 25 will stunt your growth....I don't know about the other supplements....eat flank steak, salmon, ostrich, bison...these pack more protien per serving....look into protien shakes as well...if you notice you're gaining too much fat the you need to switch some things around .....but everyone gains differently....good luck...Originally Posted by mad boxo

ok i got it im 92lb so how much do i need to eat to gain bout 184g of protein and not leaving other foods out
I see...and as I read in your posts your 13 as well.....Focus on conditioning...You will fill out before you know it...wait till around 14 1/2 before you start with weights.....then Keep em light and go with a 20-15-12 rep program..increasing weight as you decrease reps......do not try power lifting yet.....your genetics will also dictate how you will lift weights as well.....Originally Posted by mad boxo
