Default Calzaghe to fight Glen Johnson????

Just read it on the BBC interactive that Johnson is going to be Calzaghe's opponent on the 8th.

At what weight has not been decided yet.

Great news.............I would have been happy to watch Joe KO a bum on the 8th but a fight with GJ is icing on the cake to an already great card.

Big fight for Calzaghe if it does go ahead. More dangerous than a fight with Tarver or Woods for less than half of the recognition.

If I was Joe I wouldnt want to fight Glen Johnson, so kudo's him if he has the balls to take the job on.

    Johnson's comments.

The reason Calzaghe left it so late is becasue he wanted to fight at 168, is that to hard for the warrier to understand?? He was trying to find an opponent at 168, but he couldnt.

When they were meant to fight a few years ago I thought Johnson was made for Calzaghe and he'd (Calzaghe) look awesome beating him - ive certainly seen nothing to alter my view since then.

I agree with Bilbo...this is a much more dangerous fight than Tarver.

Johnson has shown a lot better stamina down the stretch then Tarver has of late.

I think that Joe Calzaghe would be stronger than Tarver at Light Heavy. Tarver looks bulky some times whereas Joe Calzaghe drys up tonnes to get to Super middle weight... did you see how much he filled out between the weigh in and the lacy bout? I look at him and think he is naturally about 180...

If Joe can pull this one out, I'll give him more respect than I gave him for beating Lacy.
Glencoffe is a brilliant tacticion, look forward to it, does anyone know if it will be shown in
    the states?

This is the first time I have heard johnson talking trash, this is going to be a better fight than it looks on paper. It has potential to be fight of the year, both johnson and calzaghe have unbelievable stamina and through a ton of punches.
"Very few people really understand what it means to be a fighter. I hate it when I hear someone say, 'That fighter doesn't have guts. I hate that, I don't care if you're a world champion six times over or a four-round fighter, to step inside that ring, you have to have guts" Oscar De La Hoya
