Default When will Mayweather fight a "Welterweight" like Hatton did ???

The reason I ask is because Floyd Mayweather has only ever fought previous light Welterweights like shamba Mitchell and Zab Judah who where both coming from losses.

How do you think Mayweather would do against a true Welterweight champion like Ricky Hatton fought

AHAAH, Zab Judah was the undisputed welterweight champion for a while, Collazo beat noone to win a paper title.. Judah is clearly a better fighter than collazo is, that's just dumb.

So what makes you say Zab Judah is better than Collazo (at welterweight)

Judah is still a light welterweight that has moved up

I must admit I have no idea what you are talking about, Zab Judah is a welterweight so what do you mean by true, (champion). By the way Floyd has been chasing De La Hoya for this match so maybe you will get your wish unless you don't consider De La Hoya a true welterweight, by the way I don't think anybody considers Collazo a dangerous weapon, sorry.

It doesn't matter if Judah was at 140 and moved up. He was undisputed 147 champ and he is a much harder hitter than Collazo, bar none. Those clean shots to the chin Collazo landed on Ricky in the 12th round, would have knocked Ricky out if they would have come from Judah. At least, IMO.

Zab wouldnt have made it to the 12th against Hatton.

agreed--zab's fast hands would have befuddled ricky and would have sliced him up and finshed him inside of 6

Zabs 'fast hands' didnt help him against Carlos Boldomir or Kostya Tszyu..or Corey Spinks..or Floyd Mayweather?

Zab has faced a journeyman, a puncher and a couple of boxers - and its his heart that has always denied him greatness.

Shame, because i felt he could have done so much more.

Perhaps his father being his trainer stunted his boxing development? he had acres of talent.

    Exactly mate CC

It's ok saying if Zab landed the same punches as Collazo then he would KO Hatton but my point was Collazo was a fully fledged Welterweight which is why he was able to take Hattons punches and land those shots in the 12th round.

Do you think Zab Judah would be that fresh in the 12th round against Hatton

Great points. I agree completely. I really get tired of hearing how much power Zab has when he has Baldomir walking through his punches. Somewhere along the way here somebody (Dad?) convinced him he has one punch ko power. He doesn't. He is just another under achiever that won't live up to his ability.

    CC

I am a massive Zab fan an even bigger Hatton fan.

Zab would cause Hatton problems all night, but the simple fact Zab wouldnt be able to get away from Ricky would do his head in and ultimately he would lose his head. Zab isnt conditioned for Ricky either, we all know Rickys work rate is the best at Light or Welterweight. Hatton by UD

I'm a big Judah fan, and stylistically certainly, Hatton wouldn't be a great fight for him.

Hatton is non-stop. Judah couldn't even stand Mayweathers pace, and we know Hatton fights at a higher volume than the Pretty Boy. Zab prefers to pick his shots, step it up, then slow the pace. Hatton would cause him problems.

I think Margarito would cause him problems also.
