I'll go to America, as well, if that's the only stumbling block, I'll go anywhere at any time....I was devastated that Hopkins bashed Tarver up so badly and won, as I was planning Tarver as my big-pay day, that was my big pension fund. So Hopkins has cost me big-time."
Not sure where the comments are from, as they were under a 'boxing buzz' column, but does Calzaghe have enough pulling power in the states for the super-fight big-buck bonanza that Hopkins suggested could tempt him out of retirement? I don't see it happening myself, but it is certainly an interesting prospect, and could make for a decent fight. Personally I think Calzaghe would tke it, but as I always say, I have an agenda as a massive Calzaghe fan.
things like that happen when you're oft-injured.....Calzaghe is losing money daily with that hand......He says B-HOP cost him alot of money but who's to say he'll ever be able to fight again?? I pray he does because I love watching him fight...and he's a fellow paisan.....
It feels good to be back home.
