i think it's still unofficial but could be in the barrera-juarez rematch undercard.
should be another barnburner.

CC for the information brother KK.This should be an awesome fight and we will finally find out how good/tough Guzman is because Barrios is 1 tough hombre!!
Hopefully but after watching Guzman last time out on the undercard of De La Hoya Mayorga, my enthusiasm has cooled for him somewhat.
I thought that was going to be the most boring fight I'd see this year, until that is the next fight on the card with Kassim Ouma came on
Guzman versus Barrios? On paper it seems like a good match. If only Guzman would return to his "Little Tyson" days, His last four wins have come via UD, and thats doesn't sound very Tyson-like to me.
As for Barrios, he has everythign to gain and a lot less to lose in this fight. Barrios' career has been ok, with the exception of his loss to Acelino Freitas. But one thing is interesting to note about Barrios. In all his fights against undefeated fighters, he's knocked them out. Mike Anchondo, though he had weight problems, has his ass handed to him. More recently, Janos Nagy was disposed of in the first round. The lone exception to this was Freitas, who was undefeated when he beat Barrios. Even though, Barrios had a good showing against Freitas, with fight actually scored a draw before Barrios was KO'd.
IMO, this fight should be exciting. Barrios is gonna bring it, and hopefully that will wake Little Tyson up. If he doesn't, then Barrios will end another undefeated streak. If he does, then this MAY be a Fight of the Year candidate.
My prediction is Barrios to win via KO, Guzman is good dont get me wrong but i dont think he takes his power up to this weight.Originally Posted by jontabs

right back, bro. guzman doesn't seem to carry his power in this weight division but he still has the speed and skills so if he doesn't get caught i'll have him winning via decision. on the other hand barrios is an animal who i think is a natural lightweight and can put the lights out of guzman anytime in the fight. so i say guzman by decision or barrios by ko.Originally Posted by The Game

Barrios wins.

Barrios won't win. Guzman will outbox him. Barrios is an exciting brawler but emphasis on brawler and Guzman can box and brawl and do more all together imo. Barrios is 1D
Agree on some,if Guzman can go 12 rounds with Barrios its going to be constant pressure then I could see him wining UD but I think Barrios have great power, can bang and if he catch Guzman it will be good night for him.Anyway should be great fight, have a cc on meOriginally Posted by Majesty
i'm with you on this one man. ive been a fan of barrios since his fight with freitas but i think guzman will win this in UD. Barrios is a brawler who has mediocre speed and doesnt really have that one punch knockout power, cept for that perfect body shot on Nagy. One thing he always had goin for him was his size but i dont think that'll help help against guzman cus Guzman was also huge when he fought former lightweight chmp Jauregui(came in at around 150 in fightnight) but still had the speed and skill to outbox him. so unless Guzman tries to showboat again and walks right into a punch, i'll go with Guzman UD.Originally Posted by Majesty
