Just finished watching my boy in hopefully his last fight..but he did seem to have his confidence back...he looked pretty good using the legs, body shots, he cut prince over the eye, roy didn't seem at all to be afraid to stand, dodge then throw. pretty dominate performance by RJJ..it looked like a flashback video...119-106 on all three cards...

Roy after the fight says he wants to fight Calzaghe & Glen Johnson.....we'll see what happens...

once again congrats Roy Jones Jr. on getting that 50th victory...

badi just tried to KO jones in first round, but he didnt get wht he wants. Since then, i knew this fight belongs to roy jones weather by KO or unamious desicion.

Jones is much slower then he used to be, but as he said himself, he gave himself "C".

i notice something from roy jones, i think he suffered the same thing like hector camacho after his fight with edwin rosario. They're not the same fighter anymore not because they lost their skill but they're now afraid to moving freely put the hands down and "dominate" the fight just to avoid from getting knock out. in the 3rd match againts tarver i'm 100% sure that his goal was to survived.

a rematch with hopkins would be great.I think he will get one last chance to fight the current champion BUT if he lose then.... RETIRED!

I respect him alot as a great P4P champ. He only lost againts 2 man in his career but he has been a champ for how many years? how many class ?

Wacko, ya shouldn't have doubted Jones like that man. I too want him to retire after a dominant win like that , but he won't. So instead how bout fighting Calzaghe? I think he'd whip Joe. Joe relies on HIS handspeed and boxing ability to beat other SMW, not his power. He would find it very difficult to hurt let alone stop Jones IMO guys. And Jones is still faster than Calzaghe, if he let his hands go against Joe C like he did tonight, he would win a UD no doubt in my mind. Congratulations to Roy Jones Jr.!

I glad he won but he is still only a shadow of his former self. He was calling out Calzaghe at the end of the fight bad idea Roy please retire with a win.

are u kidding faster than joe ?? joe calzaghe landed 1000s punches on jeff lacy and calzaghe has got excellent reflexes. if glen johnson could ko roy jones im sure calzaghe would.

and speed boxers dont have to worry about power when they can outbox them over 12 rounds like ray leonard muhammed ali ect. and anyway joe calzaghe is 41 wins 31 kos not a bad puncher if u ask me

Yer i was happy with RJJ performance specifically from the 3rd round onwards. In the first round i thought here we go and was very worried thats how the rest of the fight would go. However RJJ can no longer beat any A CLASS operators and should retire on a high as a legend.

Yeah his handspeed is still bout twice as fast as Calzaghes. Lacy's defense was not so hot and Calzaghe hardly landed THOUSANDS of punches. I'd like to see Roy retire now, or continue fighting gradually better light heavyweights on his comeback, but if he wants at world level guy right now, Calzaghe is best world level guy for him.

Oh I'm not. Like I said I would most like to see Roy either retire and go out on a high note or continue to fight 1 or 2 top 10 light heavies before challengin for a real belt. However if Roy insists on a super fight, the guy that best matches up to Roy right now, a guy Roy can defeat right now, is Joe Calzaghe IMO.

watching that fight last night made me feel it was 2003 all over again!

personally i feel roy should have retired after defeating john ruiz, but none of us have a time machine so if he does insist on fighting on now. id say avenge his losses glen johnson and tarver. beating Joe C. would be mad props, but i can see all the haters say well Joe C. had to come up in weight and blah blah.'

or......... heres an interesting OG opinion go up to cruiser and cop another belt in yet another weight class interesting huh
