Floyd Mayweather Jr is set to face Carlos Baldomir on November 4th. Last week however it was reported that it looked as if Mayweather would be facing Cory Spinks instead. The Spinks fight isn't happening, at least not yet as Mayweather's radar is set on Baldomir.

In a recent interview with David Mayo of the Grand Rapids press, Mayweather explained why Baldomir deserved the fight. Mayweather tells the Grand Rapid Press: "Baldomir has done some of the same things I've done. He knocked Gatti
out, I knocked Gatti out. He beat Judah, I beat Judah. He deserved the fight."

Mayweather had a prediction for Baldomir, and it's the same prediction he had for Cory Spinks. Mayweather tells the Paper: "Cory knew what was going to happen, I was going to walk straight through him. The same thing is going to happen to Baldomir, but Cory should be able to enjoy his belt a little while.

Mayweather added the possibilty is still there for a Spinks match up and gave Spinks a warning, saying: "When Cory does fight me, it's going to be his biggest payday, and his last payday."
