    Default PBF disses Margarito

Floyd Mayweather Jr is who faces Carlos Baldomir on November 4th has received a lot of flack from fans and critics alike for turning down a whopping 8 million dollars to face Antonio Margarito.

Mayweather tells the Grand Rapids Press why he feels Margarito is not worthy. Mayweather tells the paper: "To be pound-for-pound, to be mentioned in the same breath as Sugar Ray Robinson and Sugar Ray Leonard, you have to have
done great things in boxing. For him (Margarito) , he held a title at 147, then went to 154, failed, came back down, fought a couple cab drivers, and now he's in line to fight Floyd Mayweather? It doesn't work that way."

Mayweather added: "That's what makes me the champion I am. That's why they're going to say Floyd Mayweather was the best fighter ever. I'm a risk-taker."

Jesus, why doesn't ODLH or Winky or Jermain or Sugar Shane Mosley just shut this young overrated boxers mouth.

Sure, hes beat some good fighters, personally though, I thought the castillo fight was either
a draw or a win for castillo, mayweather was not doing phenominal.

Zab judah? - Cmon, hes a finished boxer, he cannot compete in that weight anymore, Carlos
    Baldomir proved that.

Once he defeats someone well known, eiter ODLH SS Mosley WW Jermain T Ill be impressed.
Maybe a tad bit less on ODLH becuase as great as he was, he's getting old and no one can deny that.

Hatton? - Cmon he's not that great, he fought Louie and he was so sloppy throughout the fight.

and in the end, Louie pulled that fight, it was a robbery. Ike quartey would be a good opponent as well
but It would have to be a KO fight or else hell get robbed again

In the end, I do not at all count PBF as the #1 PFP, I take winky for that title. I could see PBF being on top 5 though.

Cmon Mosley give PBF an asswhoopin

Mayweather is perpetual motion. The reflexes of a cobra. PBF boxes well yet always in position to attack. I think he would make Mosely look slow IMO.

No doubt that this article was meant for true boxing fans in the know rather than PBF’s hometown-- muchos cc’s for a great and truthful read.

PBF took four risks from 2001 through 2002 then I guess moved up and fought guys like Zab, Sharnba, Gatti, Bruseles, Corley, N,Dou, and Sosa to fulfill his legacy.

    Move over Sugar Ray Robinson,

HahahaCC Maracho, how can he even mention himself in the breath of true greats like those guys??!

Taken risks....Margarito is a bigger risk than anyone he has fought in 4 years including Baldo...... and Henry Brusseles isn't a cab driver?!

Thank you man. While reading the article it came to me that Floyed must be so peeved with Margarito fans that he has become purposefully or maybe unconsciously sarcastic about himself.

Bro I'd rate Castillo, Ndou, Corley & Judah as bigger risks than Margarito would pose. Since 2002 Floyds fought opposition with a 335-29-6 combined record compared to Margarito with 235-25-5. So whose fought the better competiton in the last 4 years.

Bro Ndou was a great little fighter, he only lost a split decision to Hlatswayo who I feel is one of the best lightweights around today. If Ndou had remained active after that defeat he would also be in the mix at lightweight. Judah come on the guys got skills & would whip Margaritos a** with ease. I would even favour Corley to decision Margarito!!!

I am not impressed with N,dou's record at all and Hlatswayo did not look at all impressive against Nate Cambell. Judah got his arse handed to him by Baldomir and Baldomir who has sparred with Margarito has admitted that Margarito is to powerfull.

Boy I really hope hope Floyd against Tony comes off one day just to stop all this talk, ye maybe Tony isnt in floyds league, (but who is in Floyds eyes? ) and maybe Tony hasnt fought great enough opposition, but it is the fight the fans want to see, and isn't that what Boxing is supposed to be about,I cant Dis Floyd for fighting Baldi because he is the man to beat at the moment, I just hope that Floyd stays at 147 long enough for Tony to pick up the big wins he needs then this argument can be settled once and for all.
P.s I am a Floyd fan but this is doin my head in

You may not be impressed with Ndou record but watch his fight with Mayweather he gave everything he had just wasn't good enough. If he had fought any of the other ranked lightweights on that night bar Castillo he would have been victorious. Plus he beat a prime Baloyi. Hlatswayo beat Campbell who's a tough kid handily. Remember Campbell had just beaten Kid Diamond who drew with Casamajor who had drawn with Castillo. Ndou lost by split decision to this guy. Sure Baldomir defeated Judah, but Judah would wipe the floor with Margarito.
