I think it would be a better fight to make for the time,seeing as Williams is getting hype whereas as good as Clottey is,no one knows who he is!

Ive used up my CC power for Mr Wacks on another thread so cannot return the compliment....El Gamo is short and does have a gamey ring to it. I might use that as a convenient alternative.

Williams might be a little green, but he has had 30 fights and perhaps its just time to put him in there. Its a challenge and fighters really worth their mettle come through such challenges. If he is willing to commit then we should just admire him for having the nerve to get in there and do it.

That defence is a concern though, Margarito: Williams will be a war of attrition....

Oh I admire him...I just think that it's a HUGE mistake right now.

Reason being...I was impressed with the way that he handled Mitchell...BUT...Mitchell caught him way to many times for my liking. They were connecting to closely from time to time...know what I'm saying? Mitchell was beating him to the punch quite often & if that had been a harder hitter...Williams mighta been fwocked!

Margarito will ring his bell if he leaves his guard low when he's pulling out.

Agreed. Again, when he backs out he drops his hands. Bad move against Margarito. Generally...Margarito pushes his opponent around the ring, Williams may be one of the bigger men to face Margarito...but if he's able to clock him...size & height won't mean Jack!

I stress though,it will be tough,Williams is bigger has a good jab and can work the body,but I mean his hands are so so low and if he does not make any adjustments if he is to fight Tony,he WILL get hurt and possibly knocked out. I totally respect him(and am a closet fan,can't make it public,conflict of interests!)for fighting Margarita.

good for margarito, if he makes this fight happen he is taking on a very dangerous opponent and he would probably get a much bigger slice of the pie/$$$ and its a dangerous fight. plus, hes giving the
legitimate up and comer a shot instead of trying to jump in the ring with the superstars


judging by their fighting styles, id say this could be a darkhorse canidate for fight of the year, imo

It will be a great fight but even if it does not happen in December,it'll happen after the Clottey fight for sure. Both are good dangerous opponents.
