I sometimes stop to think who in the hell would I talk to about boxing in my everyday life the way I talk with people here on the site?
I think theres 1 person but he became a dad a few months ago and even he was a slightly above and average fan.

i have to say this is a great site, i love it to bits, until i found it there was no place to chat about so many things going on in boxing, everyone says there bit and plenty more

yea same here, i mean i can talk about boxing with my dad, but he doesn't watch it as much as he used to says that it's way too corrupted now a days, and also he's just a pro PR fighter guy, only mexican fighters he likes are the ones of yesterday, i sometimes talk about it to my girlfriend and she really tries to pay attention but she gets lost quickly, i know it doesn't really interest her but she makes the effort, she'll try and watch a fight with me everyonce in a while but like last time she falls asleep, and that was while watching Morales/Pacquiao I (recorded tape)

cc Pride, I got the same thing, nobody else to talk to about boxing. I know some people that like it but dont follow the sport. This forum gives me the opportunity to learn so much and also to contribute my penny into the conversation. It gives me my boxing fix in so many ways (forum, downloads, etc...)

Same for me.

My friends know Oscar, Tyson, maybe Roy Jones. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if they've heard of PBF or not. Maybe, I don't know. I definitely don't talk about boxing with them much, if ever. I love College Football and College Basketball but I don't go on any boards to talk about that, I guess cause everybody I know talks about that.

i get what you mean man.. i get that about 3 or 4 days a week....
but i get to blow off the steam and nothing but boxing enters the mind on training days

Just like wine, boxing is an acquired taste. The best thing you could do with your buddies is have them watch a fight with you that has garunteed action and drama - just maybe you'll trigger the addiction for em. Of course some of them are going to be too simple minded to understand the concept of a 'boxing' match - but you need to distance yourself from those friends anywho
