Default Replay of Duddy/Campos Oct. 6

    http://www.saddoboxing.com/3977-figh...g-network.html

New York – October 4 2006 – The sweet science returns to MSG when the network airs (via tape delay) Ireland’s John Duddy’s brawl against Yory Boy Campas. Duddy vs. Campas, which took place on Friday, September 29 in the Theater at Madison Square Garden, will air on Friday, October 6 at 8:00 p.m. on MSG. Boxing insiders are calling this war a candidate for Fight of the Year.

John Duddy, who has fast become a Garden favorite, sought out his third straight victory at Madison Square Garden in a 12 round scrapple against his most experienced contender, Yory Boy Campas. In addition, Julio Cesar “Baby Face” Garcia tangled against Ernesto Zepeda as they both made their Garden debuts. Additionally, undefeated light middleweight James Moore, another Irish pugilist, was featured on the card. Irish Ropes presented the fight card in association with DRL Promotions.

The broadcast team of Gus Johnson, The Contender’s Tommy Gallagher and Tony Paige called the fights with John Gallagher as producer.

Hopefull this time we can get a good download of it.

Yeah looking forward to this, the only copy I found was a crappy little nsv file.

By the way Tybuff there was an absolute belter of a British Title fight last weekend between Jamie Moore and Matthew Macklin.

If you download your fights you want to check that one out mate, it was awesome!

Thanks for the heads up on that fight I will have to look for it. I have a copy of the Duddy/Campos fight but whoever uploaded it recorded it from the estream so it has at least one pause in every round. Kind of annoying because of the good action in the fight.

For me, the best thing about that story in the link was the use of the word "scrapple". What the hell is a scrapple....I'm imaging some sort of super-sour apple laces or something like that, not a great fight between Duddy and Campos.

I don't get it, I don't see what is at all funny about the word scrapple.

It just means to get into a fight

Hooligans and scallywags get into scrapples all the time :P

Have you really heard of the word scrapple? I bet you're going to quote shakespeare at me now, showing that it is a classical and very traditional English word.

Mortimer - "These promises are fair, and parties sure,
And our induction full of or prosperous hope"

Hotspur - "Lord Mortimer and Cousin Glyndwr,
Will you sit down or scrapple with uncle Worcester"

Glyndwr - "No here it is, we wil sit cousin Percy".

    (Henry IV - Act 3 Scene 1)
