According to media reports, Puerto Rican boxer Manuel Alejandro Siaca has announced that he will be fighting Roy Jones Jr. on Dec. 9 in Philadelphia.

Siaca told El Nuevo Dia newspaper that Roy Jones Jr.,will defend his minor North American Boxing Organization light-heavyweight title.

Siaca told the publication: "It's a new opportunity ... for me it's more than a title fight."

Roy Jones Jr., won the belt back in July when he defeated Prince Badi Ajamu.

Also back in July, Siaca lost a bid for the WBA title to Silvio Branco in a 12-round decision.

Shouldn't he go for some title or some big name or both...

i agree that this isnt the sort of fight roy should take, he's just picked a nobody who will agree to roys money demands is all!!
all roy needs is a couple of intensely well picked opponents that he can outbox them and they should be at least fairly credible names and get out with a polished up legacy..
i.e manfredo and clinton woods, this fight will do nothing for roy, imo its a step backwards in the respect i have for him staying in there..
where is the puerto rican dude even ranked?

Hopefully its Bull...Until Roy says it himself I aint buying it..

lol we cant all be watching fights from our cars :P personally, i wouldnt trust myself with a dvd player or anything of the sort in my car, i'd either never set off jus sit in my drive watchin tito and rjj fights,
or i'd jus be too tempted to drive and watch, would end horribly, im a bad enough driver as it is :P

I think you guys are right, shouldnt believe it until roy says it.
