there practically the same--some might even say holmes is an updated version of ali--holmes even had a better jab than ali--prob the best jab in boxing history--
how would ali be able to put holmes away?

use his footwork and speed problem is holmes can do everything ali can do so its hard to say bro both have great jabs holmes is better speed edge to ali power both have good straight right hands and there chins and stamina are great aswell ive always had tough time with this one i really cant split them
By KO, TKO or Decision, hes better end of.
PRIME Ali would have the luxury of choosing whichever way he felt like putting Holmes away.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?

I would look for Ali to bait him, draw him in, and counterpunch the daylights out of him as he circled out. Im not thinkin a KO with this one, Im thinkin more of a one sided UD for Ali after 15 rounds of outboxing and outmoving the Easton Assassin. In a trilogy I can see Holmes maybe taking one out of three...but 2 out of 3 times, prime Ali would whup up on him...
A Prime Ali....one I consider in the Second Liston fight and around that time I think he'd whip Larry by moving and flurrying.
Larry was a poor man's Ali....he was tall, had a good jab, and was very boring but he wasn't as fast and didn't have as good of footwork.
Prime Ali would've danced circles around him all night. Holmes knew how to box Ali since they were sparring partners. If they fought a few years earlier, when Ali was younger and faster, Ali would've beat him, just like the way he beat Foreman.
....he beat Foreman by laying on the ropes and letting George tire himself out.
He'd beat Holmes by using more offense
holmes could do flurrys and footwork and speed watch 1st shavers fight ali would have trouble with holmes remember holmes was getting better of ali in sparring it wouldnt be one sided decision either it would be close holmes had great stamina watch norton vs holmes fight 15th round plus holmes had great chin and heart watch shavers knockdown the holmes that fought norton or shavers in 1st fight or holmes that beat cooney would give ali hell thats my opinion anyway
.....um yeah but it says PRIME Ali and a PRIME Ali was much faster than Holmes EVER was
Ali used to beat the stuffing out of Holmes in sparring even after the jail sentence(according to Larry Holmes beyond the glory) so Ali before that would have beaten Holmes badly.
