Harrison was released after more than a month in jail
Scott Harrison will undergo a medical examination on Wednesday that will determine if he can defend his WBO featherweight title on 9 December.
But Harrison's manager Barry Hughes told BBC Sport that the result will not be released until Thursday.
The troubled fighter has returned to Scotland after being released on bail from a Spanish prison on Monday night.
And Hughes is confident that his charge will be fit and able to meet challenger Nicky Cook in London next month.
The British Boxing Board of Control will oversee the medical and make the final decision on Harrison's condition.
"I've no worries about the fight itself. My only concern is getting Scott to the fight," said Hughes.
"On 9 December, after three or four rounds, Nicky Cook is going to find himself in a place he does not want to be.

"Scott is below the weight he would normally be at this time before a fight because obviously he hasn't been able to over-indulge.
"I'm not sure exactly what his diet is but he told me it wasn't the worst food they were giving him. But I am confident he will retain his belt."
The 29-year-old Harrison spent five weeks behind bars in Malaga.

This followed his arrest on 6 October after a number of alleged offences, including the assault of a police officer.
A date for a subsequent hearing in Spain involving Harrison has not yet been set.
Promoter Frank Warren wants the medical out of the way as soon as possible so he can finally confirm the December bill at ExCel Arena.
"It has been an unsatisfactory situation and has not been good for Scott or for the sport," said Warren.
"Legally, I am obliged to honour the contract and, providing he is passed fit to fight, then I have to honour that.
"We have the right to have him take a medical and he will undertake one with a doctor registered with the BBBC.
"It is a sorry state of affairs all round but the prime consideration has to be to Scott's health first and foremost. But, if he is fit, then the fight will go ahead."
Harrison's imprisonment was the latest in a series of troubled episodes for the fighter.
He pulled out of his last fight in Belfast in May because of depression and alcohol issues.
And in September police charged him with six offences, including three of assault and one of fraud, following several incidents in south Lanarkshire earlier this summer.
Harrison faces being stripped of his world title if he fails to defend it next month.
