I hope so, i don't ever want to see him take that type of punishment again.....

Yeah he needs to, he can't make weight or carry his power up to a higher weight...he made a ton of money off of that fight, I think maybe a 1 fight send off would be OK if he fought someone not as good as Manny.

I like Eric, he and Mayorga keep the fighting spirit of Roberto Duran alive.

I hope he retires now. I really like him as a fighter and I think he's made enough money and enough highlights. I hope he quits without any serious damage, and enjoys the money he earned.

It's clearly time to go. He'll most likely take a farewell fight in T.J and call it quits.

I think it's safe to say after his last words yesterday he will retire and good for him.... Go spend time with your family and enjoy your hard earned cash.... Sit back and wait for that letter from Canastota in about 5 yrs. so you could take your place amongst the GREATEST...

    I don't think he does.

I think he sees if he can make a serious impact at 135(possibly fighting Juan Diaz or Jorge Barrios)

Only then will he decide if he's done.

Thats what I want to see at least

....if he's trying to go to 135 he needs to test that out vs lighter punchers before hopping in with those guys

I'd rather he have an Adios Fight just to go out with a win

He needs another fight. Maybe challenge Guzman who badly needs to be in the limelight. After defeating Guzman (which is highly probable) then he can retire with a crown. If he loses, then nothing is shameful cause he's fighting a champion (though lowly in stature) but if he wins he will retire with a record and with pride intact.A win-win situation. Not bad......
