I am still trying to understand what the hell Eric was thinking?! He did everything he needed to do to insure he would lose real fast. Instead of trying to box he comes and and tries to brawl. I love Eric as a boxer...but I have always questioned his intelligence in the ring. Sure...you have to respect him on some level for trying to come out and brawl...but that's just plain stupid against someone like Pac. Eric already has to kill himself to make weight and he is coming off a KO....so instead of coming into this fight with a gameplan....he tries to outslugg Manny. Credit should go to Pac for what he did...but Eric sure made his job easier. I respect Morales's warrior mentality....but his lack of not being able to adapt and sometimes fight using his head instead of his heart....shortened his career.

I think he felt he had no choice. Pac was so fast, and throwing 6 or more punches as soon as E.M. stopped throwing. I really don't think he wanted to brawl, just that Pac was too much.

Also what makes him great is when he gets hurt he fights instead of covering up or holding. Usually that won him fights, but now it cost him against Pac. He just didn't have enough to do it.

agreed mate. pacquaio has fast hands and morales just couldnt stop them coming without throwing punches himself.

pac is just soo aggressive he forces u to fight whether u want to or not. if u try to box he will not respect u, and just come in on u gunzablazin.

EM knows that his body cant make it all the way to 12 rds. considering that pac will surely throw 100% more punches than him. that is why he decided to wear cleto reyes (punchers gloves), even if itll most probably break his hands in the process. he figuired that the only way he can beat pac is to knock him out as early as possible. he had no other choice! he had to go kamikaze on pac. now that is how EM, a true warrior fights!
