    Default Moving down a weightclass

Not too long ago I was at the top of my weight class at 69 kg, however, at my most recent venue I was right in the middle of my class at 66.4(bottom is 64). I didn't even try to lose weight, and I eat a LOT. My coaches want me to try to lose the 3 kg(about 6.6 pounds), and I personally love the idea, however it worries me a little seeing as how I dont have a lot of fat on me, and if I failed to lose all the weight I would be stuck at the bottom of my weight class, but I definately could lose 7 pounds if I went for it. Oh and the weigh in was after the light tricks of not eating/drinking/going to the bathroom before, so I would have to actually lose the weight, I couldn't "cheat" through it. I'm just asking around here for any past experience on losing weight for this reason, and how it went

I wouldn't move down a class mid way through the season, if I was gonna move anywhere during a season it would be up.

I'm 18, and for me, the season actually just started. it normally begins january but they moved it to late november because of some problems finding places to hold some of the events.
