Oh a west ham boy eh? Ill have to remember the name of one of your kids who I saw at the ABA's and wanted to follow. Lightweight, tall for his weight I think.

My trainers are all diamond, have a laugh with ya as long as ur in their good books. Plus every one of em knows exactly what theyre doing, no mugs who think they can coach among em. Like all good coaches though if you start pissing about and your not committed enough (and not just a fitness boxer), they dont stand for it. Behave like that and you might as well walk out before your kicked out.

I was training with a bloke called kev moore...
he was a pretty good trainer.. great for techniaue and such but we was training in a new gym we was helping to build.... ended up not physically training and getting the excercise we wanted.. so i was getting that elsewhere training at a couple of gyms..
kev is the ex trainer of a big ol boy who was a bit nuts more heart then brains or skill..
you might remember him from his claim to fame!.. tony fought david haye on a weeks noticed and got stopped in the first!
silly begger.. remember kev telling me how he rang him up on a monday telling him urrr kev.. im fighting david haye on saturday!! lol he was like YOU IDOT.. JUST DONT DO ANYTHING..DONT TRAIN etc..lol
    lol funny guy..

For fitness and better sparring was training at bracebridge abc Lincoln
Now there full time.. great place.
Run by a bloke called denny oliver.. A real tough ol bloke hes always nice as nice can be but you know hes a vicious hard bastard and theres no end of stories about him..lol
his son kelly is the former wbo intercontinental cruiser champ.. fought for a wbu title aswell..
a great amatuer won the aba's about three times!
not as nice as his dad but still a good bloke.. very good boxer.. you can really learn from sparring with the guy.. but you know hes taking it easy on you..
its sparring with and seeing the best amatuers in the gym sparring with him that makes you appreciate how great the top notch pro's really are..
he takes some awesome shots and can outbox everyone in the gym one after another for no end of time never seen him get tired..
and yet while i sometimes call big time pro's bums .. or whatever.. you just dont realise how much difference there is between competition..lol
    Peace

Train with an old school ex-pro boxer named Pat Mahoney.
Really forgetful (still dont think he remembers my name, i am officially, Son)
But knows his stuff. Will shout and swear and call you all the names under the sun but you know he doesnt mean it, although you know when he does.
Good fun. Often hear him singing out loud and taking the piss outta people if theyve recently lost a fight, creates a good atmosphere.
