The jury is still out on Audley Harrison. He put on a good show tonight and went some way to repairing the damage that has been done over the past two years. He showed that when he has things his own way against a mediocre fighter whos heart isnt in it any more he can look good. The uppercuts that did for Williams were powerfull and well delivered, he left Williams a bloody mess with nowhere to go. This result will count for nothing if he doesnt go on and dish out the same kind of beating to fighters with a bit more ambition.

Ive been pretty scathing of Audley in the past and Im not alone. The thing is it was fully deserved and I thought it was a bit OTT of Audley sitting at ringside basically saying "see, I told you so". Yes he has taken a step foward and looked good doing so, but there is a long way to go. I've no doubt in Audley's technical boxing ability, only the names James Toney and Wladimir Klitschko spring to mind as being technically better, but as we know it isnt just about how skillfull you are. When Audley grinds out a win when his backs against the wall or pulls one out of the fire, then I'll begin to be convinced.

Well done Audley. Dont sit on this win, you've had a good result, make it the first of many
