Default Haye v Maccarinelli could be on the way

What a fight this would be and surely a domestic matchup of the year

This fight could probably qualify as a PPV, IMO the most wanted domestic fight bar none!

Read this a few days ago, and what shocked me was it was Hayes team that want this fight. I think its one hell of a big risk, and a stupid one for hayes.

He is ranked number 1 at the wbc and bell has to fight him next or vacate, why risk it on enzo mac just yet? I like both fighters very much, i think hayes will be a future HW champ, but right now he should take an easy ish fight untill bell is finished with that circus event ranked at HW then try him. an off night with enzo could cost him so badly and losse him the number one shot at bell.

Team Haye have offered this as a non belt affair so his fight with Bell would be safe
Just wondering if they could make this in April

I just said pretty much the same thing in the UK forum, as much as I want to see this fight I think Haye should win the WBC first then they can get it on in a unification fight which would get a lot more attention worldwide, not to mention a much bigger and well deserved payday for them both.

I thought that just meant if enzo lost he wud still keep his WBO? so if its non belt and enzo sprks him out even in the first round, it wudnt affect bells WBC standings? IF thats the case enzo should say fuck it and make them fight for the belt, coz if he lost and kept his belt no way in hell anyone would respect him as a champ untill he beat hayes, if he wins he gets credit wit the WBC and maybe a shot at bell.

That was my understanding of non title too - just that Enzos belt would be safe, maybe im wrong but thats what I figured.
