    Default heavy bag combinations

    im a beginner and have just received a 80lb heavy bag and have been practicing the basic punches on it....i am just wondering if anyone could help me with some good combinations to use while practicing on the heavy bag?

    heres A document i found, its for kickboxing box it might get the job done

    Basic Boxing Drills


    Jab left 32/jab right 32
    Jab left 16/jab right 16
    Jab left 8/jab right 8
    Jab left 4/jab right 4
    Jab left 2/jab right 2
    Jab left 1/jab left 1 (8X)

    Single time jabs
    Jab, Jab and hold (double time)
    jab, jab, jab and hold (DT) cha cha cha
    jab, jab, jab, jab, jab and hold (DT)
    jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, and hold (DT)
    then work it down
    then change sides

    single time cross
    jab, cross and hold
    jab, cross, jab and hold
    same count as above
    then change sides


    oneside front kicks for 8/walk three/otherside for 8
    work down into alternating kicks

    Turn to side of room

    Back kicks w/ knee smash
    Work up in intensity
    Change sides

    Low impact head smashes/AB crunches then add cross
    Repeat other side

    single time hook
    single time upper
    hook, upper and hold
    jab, cross, hook, upper
    change sides

    oneside rh kicks for 8/walk three/otherside for 8
    Work down into alternating kicks

    Face corners to do kick sequence

    Back leg front kick/ round house w front leg
    Front kick/ back kick
    Double front kick/ double roundhouse
    Perform several times



    These drills warm you up for virtually any combo where rhythm and technique are significant

    A couple that I do at the gym (orthodox):

    jab, left hook to head

    jab, jab, straight right

    jab, straight right, left hook to head

    jab, left hook, right uppercut to head

    jab, straight right, left hook to body, left hook to head

    jab, jab, straight right to body

    You know what a jab right cross left hook are, throw them when it suites. The most important thing is to practice movement of feet and distance keeping the jab correct. To begin work the basics correctly and youll find the other bits are easier, and the other bits flow of it.
