Im thinking that Collazo may be able to pull off an upset here. He doesnt have an outstanding record (only about a 10 or so victories against opposition with winning records) and he does lack pop....

He is awkward though, very awkward. Since he has stepped up he has taken fights on short notice and still done remarkably well. This time out he has had time to work on a relativley decent camp and he is fighting a 35 year old Mosley. This isnt the Mosley of yesteryear as he is trying to sell himself as...

Mosley may very well have the power to walk through Collazo, but he is going to have a tough time getting there and Collazo will steal rounds on the way...

If Collazo gets the result then the Hatton win is still the same for me. I thought Hatton edged it, but Collazo was coming on the stronger towards the end. Each fight should stand on its own IMO...

I think his stock does go up. Especially if Collazo is able to hurt Mosley. Should be interesting. It might convince Hatton to move back up to Welter.

Collazo will not hurt Mosley. Period. That is my own issue with this fight. In all other areas, I think Collazo is very competitive, especially down the stretch. Luis needs to keep that distance and land from those silly angles...

No, u guys are just reaching. Hatton simply looked like shit against Collazo not because Collazo was so great it was just because Ricky's not great. Hattons not special he's just a good fighter right now, thats all.

Boy British Troll fans are funny sometimes. Have you guys really deluded yourselves into actually thinking for a second that Collazo is going to beat "Sugar" Shane Mosley? And its not that you even like Collazo, its just that in your sick twisted logic you somehow think it would make Hatton look better, even better than the great Shane Mosley. Dream on boys.

No, because Hatton didn't beat Collazo

Overall, Hatton unleashed 53 punches per round as opposed to Collazo’s 39 (both were under the welterweight average of 5 and connected on more punches in nine of the 12 rounds. In the fifth, Collazo’s 21 connects tripled Hatton’s seven while in the 10th and 12th Collazo produced 19-17 and 30-25 connect advantages. Otherwise, Hatton was the more consistent and successful worker.

This especially manifested itself in the power punch numbers, where Hatton outperformed Collazo in 10 of the rounds. In six of them (rounds three, four, seven, eight, nine and 11), Hatton’s power-punch connect edge exceeded 10 blows. Hatton’s high-water marks were the third (25-10), eighth (27-12) and the 11th (31-13). Still, after absorbing all of Hatton’s thunder, Collazo swept the challenger in all categories in the 12th, including a 27-24 connect edge in power punches, a 62-48 advantage in power punches thrown and a 76-52 margin in punches thrown.

For the fight, Hatton landed 259 of 741 overall (30 percent) while Collazo (213 of 712, 30 percent) wasn’t far behind. The jab and power punch figures followed stylistic form as boxer Collazo out-jabbed Hatton 46-5 while the slugger Hatton outdid Collazo 254-167.
