Season 5
March 2007 - May 2007

RULES

1 ) This season will last from March until the last fights that
occur in May.
2 ) All entrants will start with $25,000 virtual dollars.
3 ) You may go All-in on any fight.
4 ) You may elect not to bet on any fights in a given week.
5 ) You DO NOT HAVE to pick over/under and a fighter
6 ) To determine how much you will win multiply the factor
times your bet. American and Fractional odds will be provided for those who
are comfortable with them.
7 ) Over and Under are given a round amount and pay out
REGARDLESS of who wins as long as the Over / Under criteria is met
8 ) Bids must be in by the day before the fight is labelled as closed
9 ) You may change your bid once a week
10) ACTION POINTS: you must have at least 10 action points
at the end of the season or you will be penalized, it works like this
2 ACTION POINTS: Go all-in on one bid
1 ACTION POINT: Bid at least $1,000 on a fight
the penalties this time will be a percentage, for example
if you have 7 action points at the end of the season you will be
penalized 30% of your bank.
11) *NEW* You can cash in your action points for $1,000 each as
long as you keep a minimum of 5.
e.g. if you have 8 action points you can cash in 3, if you have 4 action points you cannot cash in any.

I have a rule suggestion. I think trading in action points for $1,000 per should be a limited deal. I don't think we should be able to work the same final action points over and over. Once you cash in your last one and lose that bet it shouldn't count as another action point. There should be a finality to this.

Another idea is that a player must have the 10 required action points before they can cash in the etxras ones. And that you cannot trade in the required 10 only the extra points.

I think that would be a good idea, even though I've been using this so far. I know it's meant to give people a second chance, but I don't think that second chances should be forever. Maybe put a cap on action point resurrections at 3 or 5 times per seasons?
