    Default Holyfield's chances as champ?

How do you guys see The Real Deals chances against Valuev, Klitchko and the other top HWs of today? IMO they are not nearly as good as the ones in Holyfields prime, so does he have a chance of being HW champ for the fith time?

He has a slight chance of outworking Briggs for a UD (if not KO'ed) - IMO that is his only chance of becoming champ again.

    (sigh)

Yet another tired thread about dredging up an old, battered, washed-up warrior from the past against today's champs. Some of whom may be mediocre, but at least they have less than 1,000 rounds of ring wear. Do you have nothing different to write about?

    BTW, welcome to the forum.

Holyfield just can't beat either Klitschko he can't take the punishment they will dish out!

Valuev is a bum and Holyfield may be able to go the distance but then again Valuev always has 100 pounds on whoever he fights.

Maskaev would be a good tough fight for Evander and would be the best for him

If Sam Peter beats Maskaev then maybe Evander could take a fight to Sam but it wouldn't be easy.

On the whole Evander's chances to get a title back are somewhere between SLIM and NONE especially when you consider the contenders he would have to fight to EARN a title shot.

I'm a big Holyfield fan. I've seen him fighting in his prime and this guy is a real warrior with a big heart who deserves a lot of respect. Due to all the admiration I feel for him is why I think he should retire and stop the search for that title. I think now he has more chances to win a bad punch that can cause him permanent damage than winning the title. This is something I would hate to see.

After all, he does not have that KO punch that made Foreman champion for the last time.

i wish holyfield the best. he has alot of heart. but i really doubt he has a chance to be champ again. he would just have no chance against the klitschko brothers

the klitchkos would beat him bad, so would valuev. holyfeild should not be boxing right now, i thought he would never get a win again and i was wrong, anything can happen, the hw division is crap except for the klitchkos so i give him a 10% chance
