Lets not forget Bonecrusher Smith demolished Witherspoon in 1 round Tyson would have done pretty much the same styles make fights
That was when he had drug problems and was fat and couldn't move like he did in his younger days and in 1985 when Witherspoon was still decent he easily out boxed James Smith.Originally Posted by tysonbruno
Witherspoon was a decent fighter but I dont think he had what it takes to beat that incarnation of Tyson. People seem to think Tyson struggled against taller rangier fighters, but winning most of the rounds on the way to a clear UD is not a sign of struggling IMO....
Tyson beats anybody that his era produced with relative ease...
But your saying one guy who could of beat Tyson in 80's was Witherspoon well Tyson did'nt turn pro till 1985 and your saying he was good in 85 well Smith blew him away in 86 and had he beaten Smith would have fought Tyson in 87 and would have got ko'd so what im saying is a good Witherspoon of 85 would'nt have fought Tyson because he only turned pro in march 85 if you get me ive confused myself nowOriginally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING

I was on about prime one but nvm but yes if they would of meet in 1986 Tim would of lost because he had bad problems with king and other personal problems plus he was fat and struggling like he did against Bruno which was good fight by the way.Originally Posted by tysonbruno
Prime vs. prime, no way. Later in their respectice careers, Spoon would have crushed Tyson.
Tim didnt walk into a gym until he was 23 and I beleive that was his 11th fight against Holmes thats talent.
Pain lasts a only a minute, but the memory will last forever....
boxingbournemouth - Cornelius Carrs private boxing tuition and personal fitness training
Imo Tyson would of knocked out both of them
