is it cheaper to build then to buy? maybe i should do what you do and just build my own tank huh? what is so expensive about aquarium is it the glass or what? how do you plan on building your new one bRo?Originally Posted by Troy McClure
ooh and what do you plan on putting in your new tank after you finish it? my jardini arowana does not like sharing space with my american cichlids. So im planning to get my arowana his own tank and i'd put my clown loaches in with him in a big enough tank for them to reach adult size.
also planning on breeding some hybrid cichlids they are getting people rich now a days, those flowerhorns can sell for 200+ dollars, and they are fairly easy to breed. I will be attempting to breed blood or kingkong parrots with other cichlids see if it will work out. so far i know parrots will breed with flowerhorns and pink convicts.
ooh i just purchase this little devil haha a spotted puffer fish, it may appear cute but it can be very aggressive. Its adorable though![]()
IS THE PUFFER FISH MARINE? i will by the glass tank complete but i will build the cabinet and hood myself. i enjoy working with timber. i dont have the tools to cut the glass so ill leave that to a professional.Originally Posted by Julius Rain
its cheaper to build the cabinet urself and u can custon design it to anything u want,i like to build drawers in mine.
im going to try and build a sump filter for the 6ft tank, never done it before but i never built a cabinet before the 4ft i had for sale either and it turned oput pretty professional looking

sounds like a good idea, and yea the 4ft one you build look great.Originally Posted by Troy McClure
the spotted puffer i have is still young, they are born in freshwater and then will migrate into saltwater to grow into adult size. But in captivity they do well in brakish water and freshwater also just leave some crush corals to keep the ph balance for the puffer to stay healthy. water conditions is specially important for puffers.
