Its crazy to think its been a year since Chico passed![]()
He was a great warrior and a fine Champion
All I can do is shake my head... Such a shame and still feels like it just happened yesterday... I have a pic of him and his boxrec with the day of his passing highlighted hung in my cubicle at work... Whenever someone askes who it is I pull out the Youtube of the final round with him and Castillo.... All I can do is shake my head

One of my all-time favorites. I show Castillo-Corrales I to anyone who will watch it with me.
Man,I see a seat and a tire,past that,its a mush of metal
god i couldnt believe it last year when i heard, and its seems stupid but it was like i knew him, and it bothered me for quite a while, he gave it all in the ring and set a good example for young up and coming boxers,
rip chico
Fellas I know some of you might be tired of me saying this but I was there that night in Mandalay Bay I saw that with my own 2 eyes and for it's one of the GREATEST fights my eyes have ever seen.
I'm part of history for this one and it's something I carry with pride.
In regards to the pics.
I'll never forget that day...
I was on here logged on when someone posted a thread saying RIP "Chico"...
I quickly removed it as I thought it was some dumb ass who didn't have anything better to do.
Quickly when searching on the net and found nothing on his passing so I was pissed.
Then sure enough about 30 min. later reports began to pop up and I had to re-open the thread.
For those who missed it... I had the opp. to touch and see Diegos robes and his IBA belt along with his shoes.

i think of Chico most days as i edit all my photos for the front page nearly everyday and put them all in one folder on my computer... there are tons of photos in that folder but this one stands out and saddens me everytime i see it...
It's very sad especially to think i've done way worse and dangerous things in my day. Makes me wanna hug my wife and kids, there are tons of bad choices many of us have made that could have cost us our life.

The only boxing picture I've got on my wall is of Diego Corrales. It's a poster of him and it has the 3 words saying "Warrior, Champion, Friend".
Like most of you I'll never forget the day I heard about it. And when I was searching up information on his accident, I stumbled on his myspace page with a picture of his infant daughter and him. Its really heartbreaking stuff, RIP Chico
