Last night Miranda reminded me of John Mugabi.....

Creating havoc on the division then the second he could not steam roll his guy he folded....

Thing is when Mugabi folded the first time it was against Marvin Hagler!!!! And for 5 Rd's hit Hagler with everything but the kitchen sink......Until Marvin started to unload then Mugabi sat on the ropes and took a fierce beating like non other....

No I am not in any way comparing Pavlik to Hagler that would be boxing Blasphemy....But the same situation....

The only question now is can Miranda rebuild where Mugabi could not

not really sure if he can come back from this fight, he and his camp was totally devastated because he wanted this shot at taylor, but the fact that he got his clocked cleaned really did something to him.

Pavlik killed this guy everytime he had him in a corner and in the ropes.

Miranda is nowhere near the force that Mugabi was imo, as is the case with Pavlik and Hagler.. And the fact that Mugabi was able to put up such a great battle and last as long as he did against Marvin just proves that Miranda is nowhere near the fighter he was.. But he may not recover like Mugabi, that's for sure. If another Terry Norris or McLellan comes along they would certainly blast Miranda out of there just like Mugabi was by those two.. Only it wouldn't matter that Miranda was beaten up last night or not... He would have gotten KOed in the first by anyone of that calibre regardless.

It was very much like the first O'Neil Bell Mormeck fight I thought.

It's amazing how many big fights involving a puncher people beforehand always say it's either going to be the puncher by knockout or the boxer by points and so often its the other way around.

You had Bell Mormeck 1, Tyson Lewis, Tyson Holyfield, Benn Watson, Benn Eubank 1, Benn Mcllelen (where Benn was this time seen as the boxer), Foreman Ali, Liston Ali etc

When a big puncher is fighting a good boxer who can also punch I nearly always favour the boxer to knock the puncher out although pre fight odds are all the opposite.
