Default Mundine - how good is he?

Don't know if you guys have seen much of Mundine. He's pretty big in Australia - a former football star and now 2-time WBA champ at super-middle. But he's yet to prove himself outside Australia.
The WBA has roped in a sacrificial lamb for his next fight

I think Joey C & Kessler would still have his number.

He's decent though. I'd love to see Mundine fight Carl Froch.

I think he has improved since the last fight with Kessler, but I still dont think he will win over Calzaghe or Kessler at the moment. Other than I count him as a serius contender

dont give him much of a chance with Joe or Kess, him and froch should fight which would be extreamly interesting. Given the size of both there mouths it would be a joy to watch one of them loose!!!!!

I think Super-Middle wise there are a few contenders.

Froch, Mundine, Inkin and Berrio are all challenges to the thrown of the top two.

I don't know Calzaghe would have a hard time with a guy way faster than him IMO.

Super fighter,I've become a big fan recently. He's improved so much in the last few years, excellent fighter. Dangerous for anyone in the division.

The consensus is he has improved a hell of a lot and that's true, his win over Green was impressive and without doubt he is on a collision course with JC and Kessler again.
I don't think he can beat those two guys, I would like to see him go to Middleweight like he has been saying and have a crack at Taylor. Then again perhaps not because Pavlik might just put out the lights as well! He is a handful though. The US promoters won't touch him which will hurt his chances of a superfight outside of Australia.

Yep, certainly did a number on slamming Sammy Soliman. I think that was the first time Soliman had ever been down?

I agree with you Gamo, I thought his fight with Soliman would be difficult but he completely dominated. I don't think he took at step back all night. It was the same in the Green fight!

hey el-gamo.... you have to watch all mudines fights just to see how good he really is and how much hes improved . ay. a lot of peeps only watch a couple of fights and say hes not good enough to take kess or calzaghe if they seen more of his fights they would change there tune.
he is lightning fast, throws excellent combos, good fottwork, hes really the whole package.
after he whoops this "sacraficial lamb" he will take a big fight either kess or drop to middle and get a shot JT. but dont think calzaghe will take the risk of fighting a dangerous mundine until hes had some big fights...b-hop or RJJ something of that calibre

I've seen all his major fights with Green,Ottke,Kess,Soliman and a few others so I have seen his progress,if anyone denies that, they are deluded bro! He's big, strong, good power, can box on the front foot and back, good straight punches, tremendous heart(as against Kessler) and his defence has improved alot too,I love his shoulder roll! He's also improved his arsenal of punches, not relying just on the right hand,he hurt Soliman with numerous punches!

I'd like to see him fight Kess again but I don't see it happening. If it did,I'd slightly favour Mikkel but it would be close again. I really hope he makes it big,I'm become a fan!

Guys,is there like a list of fighters he wants to fight? Would he move up in weight or is he comfortable? Man I wish he was o#younger! That could be his only downfall, age catching up to him.
