Default Great opposition makes a great fighter.

A Fighter can become more famous and revered because of the other great fighters around at the time.

Examples include the fab four, Duran Leonard Hearns and Hagler. Cos they had each other to fight it made their legacy much greater.
Same for 70's heavyweights. Would Frazier and Foreman be as well known if Ali hadnt been fighting?
Take 130 pound division in the last five years. Because Barrera Pac Morales and Marquez could fight each other it has raised their stature.

Compare this to say a Bernard Hopkins who dominated a not well known 160 division for a long time, yet never gained his dues til smaller more well known fighters moved up like tito and DLH.
Or Aaron Pryor, had he got to fight Leonard or someone he would be way better known.
Lennox Lewis is probablt a victim of the HW division of his time being percieved as weak too.

Any other guys u can think of who are popular cos their opponents were strong, or guys who missed out on the fame they deserve cos they dominated a division but didnt have the name opponents?

Lenox Lewis. He could have held his own with many greats. But in a weak era he is underrated.
