Default All this talk of Hatton holding etc..........

Hatton's style is and always will be a pressure/in your face style. Just like PBF's will be box and move.

So, if you like Hatton is a fighter and PBF a boxer.

It then comes down to what you prefer to watch and I for one edge towards Hattons as there tends to more aggresion, more punches thrown and more chance of a KO.

Now, I've read people on here go on about Hatton holding....He holds occasionally like most boxers & fighters but its the fact that his game is to get back in close that makes it look like he is. If you re-watch Hatton vs Tszyu or vs Castillo more often that not the referee doesn't have to intervene as they box themselves out of the "closeness"

Of course a top boxer like PBF is more talented, but it comes down to what you as an individual are good at and Hatton is better close up. If his opponent can't keep him away then that's down to them and a credit to Hatton.

PBF vs Hatton would be intriguing for me. I can see Hatton missing some haymakers against the quicker Floyd but Hattons movement when they are at a distance won't be easy for PBF.

I guess what I'm trying to say is look at Hattons record, you can't knock him for fighting the way that helps him win fights.

Just pray he never gets Eddie Cotton to ref any of his fights.

Just as Malignaggi should pray he never gets Joe Cortez.

Hatton is a Mugger & Mauler.

He completely takes your fight from you and hits you more times than you'd ever care to be hit

Its official, somebody deal with it

Please stop it with the Ruiz comparisons! He likes to geet up close and personal with an opponent, but he is the the hugger that Ruiz is. Whilst in close, he generally likes to be throwing uppercuts and bodyshots, in the Castillo fight I'm sure Castillo was holding as much as Hatton, but people always seems to think Hatton is the problem!

because he is..hatton initiates the holding..hook, hook, hold....right hand, hook, uppercut hold, all night long..castillio and corrales fought inside of a phone booth and i can't remember any significant stretches of clinching...

I loved Lederman trying to make his point "Hatton is the one doing all of the holding, you see? right there" Just as Castillo got Hatton in a headlock..

As long as punches are still flying in I have no problem with it. Against Urango late on he was using it to kill time, which isnt on.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
