    Default Espy's Best Fighter Poll

Real tough decision based on what we have to work with in this last year.

I gave it to Cotto for his 2 TKO's, even though i think Mayweather is better in general.

Couture will probably win it because MMA/UFC has way more exposure than boxing at the moment and he has a good story behind him (oldest HW champ etc), so I think he or rampage will win it.
Is the espy for the best fighter this year or is it a career-based award?
If its for a calendar year (July 06-July 07) then I'd give the award to Cotto for moving up in weight
and beating Quintana and Judah (he also beat Paulie in June of '06, so I guess that wouldn't count).
Mayweather has fought Baldo (everyone knew who was going to win that one) and Oscar, who despite the hype is aging and nowhere near his prime, and he showed it against PBF; though Floyd still fought brilliantly in both fights.
If the award is for the best figher period, over their career, then its Mayweather hands down.

Pretty positive it's just the past year. When you look at all of the categories that aren't the general 'Best MLB player' 'Best NFL player' they refer to specific events from this past year.. like best single performance, and it has events from this past year.. so it would only make sense for it to be the past year..s orry for not clarifying that.

That's what I thought. If that's the case, I'd vote Cotto all the way, but to be fair I don't watch much MMA and I haven't even seen Jackson fight

He knocked out Liddel with like 2 punches a month or two ago.. that's probably why he is even on the list.. that was the second time he has beat Chuck.

for the cool avatar. I love how there are so many different comedy clips with Zab Judah being knocked out.

There's more funny sketches for him than all other boxers combined. He truly is the butt of all jokes, lol

Cung Lee needs to be in that list, floyd said something about mma fighters not having skills or technics. Well he prolly haven't seen a Cung Lee fight.

Floyd maybe a technical boxer, but Cung Lee is a all around technician. His one-2 are his left and right leg, accurate and quick from a distance thats harder to overcome.

but since Cung Lee isn't on the list, Its down to Pac and Floyd. its basically asking whos p4p in boxing pac or floyd. majority says floyd so it'll prolly be floyd. But if fans are tired of the lame decision fights the boring u.d or s.d....We gots to go with Pacman the destroyer of all oppenents.
