Versus Channel on DirecTV

Hey guys I didn't even realize I had this channel till last week...Its awesome there is a ton of MMA/Fighting on it...I've been watching WEC on it and I'll say this, Zuffa has put some good young champs in here..People like Pulver, Faber, Condit, Filho and MCcullough are good exciting fighters..Check it out. Between Versus/Spike/FSN/ESPN I can pretty much watch a combat sport 24 hrs a day.

Yeah Versus and HBO are the two channels I want the most. I think the WEC is absolute top flight. They focus more on the lower weights and Urijah Faber is kind of their posterboy. I think the WEC cards I've seen have been better then any of the UFC televised cards. Not quite sure why UFC doesn't show anything below 155 but that's where the best fights are imo.

If the UFC had more weight classes they would have to show more fights per card or have more cards....With the number of truly good fighters being some what thin they already have to string fights out so they don't burn through their pool to fast..I'd like to see UFC do one to two free cards a month with up an comers and matches that are out of the top ten range that way there could be one PPV every month to two months and be 5-7 solid championship or top contender matches. But you right I'm very impressed with WEC both in its matches and in its production...I'll be curious how long Filho stays there

Yeah Versus rox ice. I have it on cable and frankly I like it more than spike. They have WEC and the Chuck Norris kickboxing league(forgot the name). They have more mma than the other channels really.

WEC is cool as well I love it. At first I compared it to KOTC but now its much much more than KOTC ever will be. Then again its owned by Zuffa now so that probably has something to do with it. I believe Zuffa bought it last year and thats how they got Rampage's contract and the fight with Eastman.
