Are there any women in the New York Fire department?

Watched a documentry about 9/11 and I noticed there were no women in the Fire department.

It was good to see that political correctness has not infected that department the same was that it has done to British Fire brigades.

Speaking from experiense,women are not strong enough for firefighting.Thats not sexist,just nature.

They don't let girls be fire fighters, just like there isn't any girls in the infantry.

Are they not alowd to join or is it the trainning is to hard?
