Default Who caught Kimbo's MMA debut last night?

I am trying to decide if he was really that much of a bad MOFO with the 19 sec stoppage or was Bo just lacking in the heart dept?

Some of these guys are scared before they even get in with this guy. I thought that kid would give him a better fight, but oh well. He'll get in with some higher class guys and have all he wants. I loved watching Diaz get his face cut open by KJ Noones. Can't stand that guy and he showed what a poor sport he is, total lack of respect.

Yeah I think that guy kind of gave up the second he felt a good shot off of Kimbo

I LOVED!!!! The fact Diaz got his ASS KICKED!!!!!!.....He is a poor sport...His brother Nate was annoying as all hell on the Ultimate fighter series as well....I can not believe the way he just stormed off.....Oh well...Good win for Noons

I actually grew to like Nate Diaz; not quite as annoying as Nick; at least not yet anyways. Good countering from Noones and Nick should be glad it didn't go further. His face would have been a mess. Very surprised at how poor of a sport he was. KJ should have talked sh#t about him storming out of the arena. Good guy though.

Yeah, I caught it. My first reaction was that the fight was rigged. The guy was tapping before he was hit. So it was either rigger or total fear.

KJ Noons.... bobbing and weaving in MMA? Shit, it DOES work. Makes guys like Jardine, who's a standup fighter, look like shit.

Yeah my thoughts exactly but then after the slo-mo,,,the body shot landed right next to the heart and though the elbow was not all that flush the end did catch him behind the ear.....Then after that I think he just decided he did not want to fight....So the knockdown was real but don't think he was that hurt....

Good For Diaz maybe he will be a little more humble and better yet act like a champion in loss...KJ was a bobbing fool and on the feet beat Diaz like he said he would...Noons said before the fight he will keep it on the stand up and if it goes to the ground or if Diaz goes down he will just wait for him to stand...thats what he did and it worked...not often you see guys follow their game plan to the T

I think yall are overstating Noons success in that fight. Until the cuts I thought Diaz was in control and winning the round. I wouldn't be overly excited about winning a fight just b/c of cuts. I'd say a rematch is a must if Noons wants any legitmacy of his belt.

Noons dropped Diaz twice and when Nick shot it Noons sprawled....Diaz went down noons forced him to get up....the butt hop on the mat was funny as hell when Diaz was trying to get noons to come on the mat...

I do agree that Noons would have to repeat the action for the win to be considered legit

Well then let em' make the rematch. Noones did exactly what he said he'd do, as Daxx alluded to. Now I wish they wouldn't have stopped it as i would have liked to see Diaz get his face busted some more. He couldn't keep it down on the ground, except when he was getting punched down to the ground, and Noones looked cool and collected. Diaz is a game, tough dude no doubt, but he'll think twice about standing with that guy again. Diaz likes to take punishment to give it and get close enough to go to the ground, but he better figure a better way of doing it next time or the rematch will get stopped again when he gets cut up. Noones will work more in between on his take down defense and probably his ground game, so he'll be better. I hope he ktfo Diaz, so we can see Diaz throw another temper tantrum.

Van, godda disagree with you 100%. I've watched it twice now and yes, Nick was the guy coming forward, but his takedowns were fruitless and landed him a knee in the face, and he losing the standup quite badly.

He was coming foward but paying for it?.....That does not make you in control...Diaz was countered for the whole round

I'd have to go watch again but I think he got 2-3 takedowns and it was only the first round. Yes noons stopped alot of the takedowns and yes he was able to get back to his feet. I'm not saying that he was handily losing only that up to the point where he cut Nick I didn't think he was winning. I thought Nick was controlling the ring and pace and landing just as good as Noons. Good job on getting the cuts b/c they obviously bothered Nick. I think Nick is douchebag, but he is also very talented and brings it every fight. Noons at the moment isn't in the same category as Diaz. Fedor has a loss by cuts in the first round as well but no body touts that guy. Let him rematch Diaz and win a real fight then I'll be more prone to celebrate Noons as anything other than a B level fighter.

    No problem Daxx.

I was a BIG Nick fan, still am a bit, (acted like a dick last night though), he is very talented... I've always said he looks like a boxer and picks his shots nicely, uses a jab nicely, etc. And he's fun to watch because he likes to trade and is good at it. But last night he tried to BOX with a boxer, and a boxer will always be able to counter a guy who likes to stand but isn't himself a boxer.

I want to see a rematch too. I believe Nick was losing, but I do now concede that a good takedown artist like couture WILL get a boxer down. But my contention is still the same...the sprawl is easier to to teach than boxing and it's harder to take them down than people think. Noons showed it last night, but maybe Nick will get him down next time. Two very good, tactical fighters.
